Tennis hello

The women also have all the same expenses as the men for travel, equipment, their team, etc.

It's not the most riveting match but I am a bit headachey today.

Jane true about the teams- all these sports psychologists don't come cheap! Grin
I had a headache this morning- like a hangover, and I haven't had drink for ages - but I've not been well all week, (and it was probably stress from last night's match Grin).

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 15:49

I need a sport psychologist after last night!

Tell me about it.

The more I have read, the less confident I am that Rafa will be at Wimbledon. There is a Mallorca tournament starting on the 21st- but said he won't play that (doesn't play in the week before a slam), and is not sure when he will get to practice on grass.

It will be sad if he doesn't go.

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:02

I don't expect him to get very far at Wimbledon but I'd love him to be there.

DS2 was expecting to get the sitting room telly back for the euros tomorrow and wasn't impressed when I told him Queens is starting Grin

I do love this umpire Grin

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:06

The Barry White of umpires.

Jane no, Wimbledon could be a big ask- even though he's defending a semi final finish from 2019. He might want to prioritise the Olympics- if they go ahead. I imagine he would want to go to the US this year, too.

Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:08

Jane Grin

Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:09

Well, that was a bit of lackkustre championship point.

Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:09

It was underwhelming, Sam, you're not wrong.

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:10

Yes and the crowd don't seem very enthusiastic.

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:10

Well done to both of them.

Another first time winner.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a first time winner too Grin.

Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:11

Jane no, they were very quiet, really.

Almost as bad as having no crowd Grin.

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:11

Amen to that Raahh

Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:14

Aww, Jana. Sad.

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:17

Eurovision woman Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:18

Singing?

Do they usually have singing?

Was this the Eurosvision entry?

Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:19
Grin

Better not catch on at Wimbledon, this.
Can you imagine James Newman, in his donkey jacket , on centre court?

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:20

I would pay good money to see that Raahh Grin

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:20

This would be awful, if you'd just played a 5 set match in 6 hours and just wanted a bath.

TottiePlantagenet · 12/06/2021 16:21

regardez moi?? No, merci.

This is unusual....

They should just have umpire Barry White read a shopping list or something... that would be nice Grin

JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:21

Very French. Was it the voila, voila, voila that gave it away John?

OP posts:
Raahh · 12/06/2021 16:21

Jane actually- I'm warming to the idea...

Grin
JaneJeffer · 12/06/2021 16:22

He could have a white donkey jacket.
