Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

I put this on the Robert Webb thread - after hearing his Confetti anecdote I am Team Webb. I might put a bet on. A mumsnetter last year was due to win big on Bill.
I think Rose will get a decent amount of public support though.
Maybe a double bet before the partnerships are announced?

If I had to choose one of my known 4 at this stage it would be Greg Wise I think.

Greg is the one I'm most excited about, but I very much doubt he's seen the show before and will probably be at Daniel O'Donnell levels of bewilderment.

I'm excited about Nina Wadia being a contestant as she's very entertaining in Goodness Gracious Me.

I hope she'll be good on this and last a long while in the competition.

Matt Willis went to stage school with Tom Fletcher and he claims they were both rubbish at dancing. We shall see.

I was trying to think where I recognised Nina from recently — it was Death in Paradise. She was the one Ardal O'Hanlon left for England with.

I misread Nadia Sawalha at first and panicked.
If she was on this would have to be the first year from the beginning of time that I wouldn't be watching.

I think Nadia Sawalha has done Dancing on Ice and there doesn’t tend to be crossover in contestants in those shows, so not sure she would do Strictly.

They said something on the Olympic commentary about how he had particular anatomy that made him fantastically well suited to the breaststroke. We'll have to see how that translates to ballroom!

Also watching loose women. Unless I misunderstood Nadia said it was one of them - not sure if she meant literally in the studio or not. It has to be either Judi Love or Linda Robson then? Katie Piper has already done it?

I love Adam Peaty - now I know why he was being cagey in an interview on Monday really hoping for Max Whitlock aswell, the 2 of them together would be awesome!

Yesss!!! I love Adam Peaty thought it might be him successful Olympics in a good stage of his career. Still competing but needs to start thinking what's next

I think we were averaging nearly a thread a week last series! I suppose we were all stuck in with not much to do.
