Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

The ITV shows like Dancing on Ice and I'm a Celeb have got better celebs.

Which I always find strange because I would so much rather do Strictly than he covered in bugs or drink vomit inducing drinks! I can only think that the time commitment / money play a big factor..

Shop well for less is on bbc1 @ 8pm. So I'm going to put a punt of Melanie Sykes who is in the show as the next announcement. Surely they won't have 2 soap starswith Eastenders connections on the same day.

I'm just a big meanie. In truth, I'm just tired of my younger kids idolising youtubers and gamers and deeming it to be a viable career. But hell, maybe I'm wrong and if Pat (and Jen/Liz/insert current gf here) can make a living from monologuing, then DS can.
My eldest sent me a video of The Sidemen playing The Wheel (they are youtubers who rented out the studio) and I recognised Vik as he had been on the real Wheel. He could be signed for Strictly, a very, nice young man: yes, I am aware of how old I sound!

I genuinely don't understand why Strictly don't have more agents of well-known slebs clamouring at their door though. Mel C said the money was crap.

I think for many though, especially post-Covid that Strictly would be a blessing. Guaranteed income and PR, deemed a bit classier and less desperate than other shows, they don't post the voting figures and even if you do end up an early boot, you're actually laughing as you've made cash quickly without expending the same effort as those going out a week before Blackpool.

I always look to the panellists, guests and sleb gogglebox lot e.g. Nigel Havers has needed to go on both CG and the Wheel of late.
There are so many that haven't done Strictly you thought might have by now. It perplexes me!

They were interviewing Matt Willis on GMB today. He said Emma would love to do SCD and she wants them both to do it competing against each other. But he's appearing in a theatre show and she's too busy.
They are the sort of contestants I could get behind.

Should be interesting then to watch her dance based on vibrations/learning the choreo in silence (On DWTS Nyle won, who was deaf and they also had Marlee Matlin)

Hate the song to this but they cut the music half way through so you would see it from Nyle's perspective.

They'd be great on the show! They're good mates with Tom Fletcher so he might put in a good word for them next year..

I've heard of 7 out of 12 so far, which isn't great. The female celebs are particularly bewildering. I've only heard of Nina and am vaguely aware of Katie from being forced to watch Corrie at Christmas. (Oh, for Pat Phoenix, Jean Alexander and Doris Speed to be signed up for Strictly. Can you imagine what a hoot Anne Kirkbride would have been?)

I think right now we need Max Whitlock.
