Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

I really want Gio to win this year. I think he has earned it.

I can see Gio taking over from Anton, he did so well with Debbie McGee and Michelle Visage.

The horrible histories team would be great. Matthew Baynton please though.

Gio is great - really brings out the best in his partners and plays to their strengths whereas Anton seemed to enjoy making them look foolish.

Really not a fan of Anton and gutted that he's now a judge.

I'd quite like to see Martha Howe-Douglas in real life (she is the one playing Fanny but is considerably younger under the make-up). Plus her Cleopatra Lady Gaga is still my favourite part of Lockdown (DS was doing Egypt so we watched all the HH together).
I would be happy with any of the cast though. I have an unreasonable crush on Simon Farnaby (Julian/Death - stupid deaths is DS's favourite sketch).

Agree about Gio. The first series he did he seemed a bit full of himself but he is lovely now and so good with his partners.

Anton was a great judge last year and miles better than shouty Motsi. At least his comments were constructive and made sense unlike her shouted nonsense. Shirley is often not a lot better either

I would love to see Gio win, he does some fantastic routines and really tries to showcase his Celeb partner. Or at least he does now.. he didn't do so well with this when he was with Laura Whitmore.

And for the lasses? Karen. I like most of the women but I can’t take my eyes off of her when she dances. Which believe me was a blessing when Biscuits’ jaw was flapping open all the time

Hello all. Was looking for the thread and very late to the party. I have to say I'm not wildly excited about the line up as yet. Never heard of Sarah Davies.

I have only heard of Tom McFly and Robert Webb so far. I want someone to get behind IYKWIM, that's why I like watching. How many more to go?

Yeah never heard of Sara Davies. Crap line up so far. Just seems very safe and predictable.

I haven't heard of any of these people except Robert Webb ( admittedly I am not British). However a lot of ppl I had never beard of were fun to watch, so....

This is no different to any year. They pick people from lots of different types of known people so everyone will know one or two people but no one will know everyone. Robert Webb did some really funny dancing on Let's Dance for comic relief... I wonder whether he'll go for comedy or actually do a bill Bailey and do proper dancing?
