Approaching end of binge and don't know what to binge next - help!

I ALWAYS feel like this and I always struggle to choose what to watch next.

Currently on season 16 of greys anatomy on Disney+ I could watch station 19 which recently landed or buy private practice on Amazon which I am tempted to do but don't know if I'd love them as much as greys and I'd just be annoyed

Other options are the resident also on Disney or ER on all4 or other medical dramas not sure I want another medical one right now though.

Usually I like crime dramas - police procedurals mostly like ncis, criminal minds etc

But feel like I want something lighter but NOT a comedy per se.

I like the lighter touches in greys, ditto dramas like white collar and lie to me which are dramas but with comedic elements, huge fan of Gilmore girls which I've not watched in a while too and may revisit also parenthood (the series), also a huge fan of charmed, I tried supernatural and Grimm as along similar lines but just didn't really like them.

I like conspiracy type stuff too, Cold War, spy stuff but I'm not sure I fancy that at the moment

Toward the end of a binge I feel like "I just want more of this" which of course isn't possible

I'm lucky enough to have Netflix, prime, Disney+ and I can buy on Amazon too if it's something I think or know I like, I'm housebound so bills and this are all I spend my money on at the moment really.

So... Please hit me with your favourite dramas with a comedy touch?

Christinayangtwistedsister · 16/05/2021 19:42

Bridgerton

MyDcAreMarvel · 16/05/2021 19:49

The Americans on prime it’s brilliant.

Starisnotanumber · 16/05/2021 20:11

Did you miss any of these the first time round if you didn't see them maybe worth a try.
The Sopranos
Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes
The West Wing(its on all 4 free)
Detectorists I player
This Country I player
Ozark.
Plenty to go at there

Graphista · 16/05/2021 20:30

Desperate housewives I rewatched recently

Nip/tuck is a maybe, love Julian McMahon (yes I know he's an arse in real life but good eye candy and very sexy)

Lucifer feels...a little tempting fate at the moment with family circumstances

HTGAWM I loved but not watched for a while and keep meaning to think I'm a season or maybe even 2 behind

House I've watched so many times I can recite the script!

Night manager I hated as couldn't stand the lead, totally miscast (big le carre fan)

Bridgerton too fluffy for my taste I think having seen trailers and plugs on chat shows etc

The Americans I started watching when it first aired on terrestrial until sky nicked it! I loved it but found the violence at times a bit much (and I'm a horror buff!)

The sopranos I've never seen and is a possible depending if I can access anyone know where it's available ?

Life on Mars/ashes to ashes I loved at the time but feel unable to rewatch

West wing I watched recently for the first time might be able to rewatch though as I don't know it so well

Detectorists I don't think I'd like

This country - can't even bear a brief trailer or when she's on a chat show! Just unbelievably off putting

Ozark I don't think so for personal reasons I don't like watching stuff Centred on drug dealing and portraying the dealers etc as sympathetic characters or even just "funny" I've lost people to drugs and it offends me that's why I won't watch breaking bad or similar

Have you seen Orange is the New black , its kind of dark comedy I guess but also gritty. Also orphan black I didn’t watch for a long time because I thought I would like the genre but it’s excellent. Both Netflix.

MyDcAreMarvel · 16/05/2021 20:35

*would not like

waterandlemonjuice · 16/05/2021 20:36

The Good Wife?
I love Greys and loved TGW

Ilikewinter · 16/05/2021 20:40

I love Station 19, what about Rookie Blue (police drama) you can watch from season 1 on Amazon Prime.

BovrilonToast · 16/05/2021 20:42

If you like Greys I’d definitely watch Private Practice. It’s wonderful, I loved Addison in Greys and you get all of Amelia’s backstory. I must watch it again!

Christinayangtwistedsister · 16/05/2021 20:44

I forgot about OITNB, it's brilliant. House of cards? Can you tell we have all been stuck in watching tv Grin

Starisnotanumber · 16/05/2021 21:09

Sopranos is on sky Atlantic at the moment.

ForeverInADay · 16/05/2021 21:12

I really enjoyed The Good Wife (and I love Greys)

ForeverInADay · 16/05/2021 21:13

Oh and New Amsterdam. It was recommended to me on here. It is medical but with great back stories on the characters.

Starisnotanumber · 16/05/2021 21:15

Sopranos is also on Amazon prime not sure if you have that.
If you liked West Wing similar is House of Cards on Netflix

ArtfulScreamer · 16/05/2021 21:15

I'm currently watching Wentworth not everyone's cup of tea but I used to watch Prisoner Cell Block H as a teen after pub so I've given it a go.
