How on earth did you guys guess FGM. I'd never have thought of it in a million years. Did they say the sister was going to Toulouse to have it done? Why France? I don't know anything about the subject.

For me, although hinted at before, it was blindingly obvious when the sister said she was going away on a special trip. It is exactly how it has been portrayed on programmes before (Casualty/Holby for a start)

I guessed when they were making a big deal about sex and she was estranged from her family. I work with kids and had lots of training on it, so bleak.

I just felt the need to say that to assure you it was no spolier : ) I am fully invested in no spoilers

Yes I've also thought this lately and it's putting me off watching, seems to be something sex related on most scenes, there's no need for it. I'm not a prude at all but it just gets tiresome.

I wonder what has happened to Suki. She must be desperate if she went to Phil for money. I laughed though when she told Kheerat to go home immediately. Glad he stood up to her.

I think poor Kim is heading for a fall with this new man. Also, I've no idea how she managed to walk in those shoes she was wearing. I would have ended up in hospital.

I guessed FGM pretty much straight away - the talk of the "Aunty " she didn't know, a wonen-only trip away, the sister's age and the traditional East African background of the mother.

But then I have worked with many girls who were on our radar during the summer "cutting season". We would teach girls to put a spoon in their underwear to alert airport staff if they thought they were being taken on "holiday" to be cut, but hadn't been able to reach out for help before they were on their way. It's horrendous but still not uncommon sadly.

@Justjoinedforthis I imagine that it is done to set off the metal detector alarm and then when being frisked privately they can ask for help. Rather than the airport staff specifically knowing what it means.

What I want to know is what happened to that gold Vinny nicked off Stas? Surely they sold it/melted it down and sold it? They should have loads of money from that somewhere 🧐

I zoned out over the whole gold thing. I remember some heavy dying and Callum turned up and did some off the books policing and saved the day.

Maybe now would be a good time for Vinny to fess up and tell the truth that it was him. So he could get Jags out of prison and share some of the time himself?

One thing that niggles me is they never translate the Punjabi in the subtitles. I watch with subtitles all the time and it just says “speaks Punjabi”. which I suppose is an improvement on “speaks own language” when English is also Suki’s own language!
