Tales of Weatherfield continued...

OP posts:

Totally agree that Corey could've easily pulled Kelly off... she is only slight, and he's not small. What's with the dna blook and all of that with Kelly?
They've hardly talked about the same with Corey

Squeejit · 13/05/2021 12:06

The eyebrow is a teenager thing. My son shaves a slice into his from time to time and it’s equally ridiculous. I think it’s meant to make her look a bit chavvy

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 13/05/2021 12:18

The Aggie house buys the shit out of me. They’ve DOUBLED the size of the downstairs, they’ve got that area when you first come in the front door, a very spacious lounge/ diner, fancy back doors behind where Grace was sitting. The toilet as others have mentioned is a joke, even if it was small it does logically fit with the layout? They’re tiny 2 up, 2 down houses and yet theirs looks more roomy than my 3 bed semi. Not to mention there are now 5 adults and a baby living there.
Well let’s not forget the Tardis that is the Grimshaw mansion.

desperatehousewife21 · 13/05/2021 12:53

I’m 31 now but it was always a chavvy thing to shave a slice into the eyebrow like Kelly when I was a teen. Didn’t think it looked good then, still don’t now. Amazed it’s still a trend!

Housewife2010 · 13/05/2021 13:01

Didn't one of Boyzone have a shaved brow?

Serpenta · 13/05/2021 13:05

I assume the eyebrow thing is a scar rather than a style choice. Common place for a scar.

Akire · 13/05/2021 13:12

I watched for the team! The wall does come
Out as wide as the kitchen worktop. So there is enough roof for a loo if you are small!

RJnomore1 · 13/05/2021 13:29

I’ve got a toilet under my stairs that’s probably about that size! Fully functional but teeny.

PrincessScarlett · 13/05/2021 13:34

I missed the first episode last night but if they've done DNA testing on Kelly's clothing and found blood spots, surely they've done the same testing on Corey's clothing and also found blood spots. We all saw Corey's trainers going into the washing machine with blood on them. It can only be a case of Corey's word against Kelly's and agree there is no way Kelly would have been able to inflict such damage on Seb and Nina all by herself.

Imran was good in court with Yasmeen so hopefully he'll be the same this time round, albeit a bit ridiculous that he's representing Kelly.

Akire · 13/05/2021 13:41

Didn’t he leave Kelly voice message saying make sure you wash everything? Corey could say the blood I had was from Holding Kelly and I’ve washed it all. But washing trainers as well looks like cover up. Never mind the fact Corey could hold Kelly or just pick her up with arm.

PrincessScarlett · 13/05/2021 14:22

Yes, there was voice messages/calls between Corey and Kelly immediately afterwards so surely the police have both their phones.

DD does this too. No biggie - we're sure she'll grow out of it. It's a bit distracting but she could easily grow it back or fill it in if she wanted.

Please could someone explain why Corey was released and Kelly is now the sole suspect? As I understood it, he was arrested as soon as Asha withdrew her alibi to say that she was not with him when the attack happened, and since he's not able to prove otherwise then surely he should still be in custody?

Akire · 13/05/2021 15:22

I think main reasons is he washed al his stuff so it goes with what he says. Kelly was covered in blood and he is saying was all her. But can’t see it standing up on court given she is tiny and there were what 3 teenage boys standing there watching? But they can only work on solid evidence and nothing on Corey yet

UhtredRagnarson · 13/05/2021 15:57

I think he was released because he came forward to tell “the truth” (his story) before the tape recording and DNA evidence was known and in his story he implicated Kelly as the attacker whereas Kelly didn’t admit her part until she was told the evidence placed her there laughing when she said she had tried to stop Corey.

It's totally unrecognisable and nothing like Norris's house with a kitchen which seemed to be on the side of the dining room
eddiemairswife · 13/05/2021 18:17

It appears that Aggie is still in Birmingham(?), but why is the Aggie actress not around?

Yes the police lady mentioned that.

Surely Summer would also say that Corey was the leader of the pack when it was all starting to get uncomfortable (when she left).

I was so annoyed by the soap police. Surely they might think, or Imran or Kelly suggest that Corey voluntarily came forward only because he knew there would be incriminating DNA so he’s proposing an alternative narrative to make himself sound innocent.
excelledyourself · 13/05/2021 23:10

I thought there would be something more incriminating on the voicemail. Like someone's name being said or similar. I know Kelly's laughter is significant and got her caught out, plus the voice analysis (not even needed now I don't think?), but I expected something else.

Suppose that would have been too cut and dried.

JemimaTab · 14/05/2021 02:26

Not a fan of the Baileys, but why does Ed basically have to remove himself from his own home to give his adult son and partner space? Those houses are tiny (two up, two down), so they’re never going to comfortably accommodate three generations comprising five adults and a baby. Tell adult child (whatever his name is) to find his own place. It’s Salford not London W1, so property should be affordable (there are plenty of flats on the street alone) and he has a job.

Corey and Asha have no need for their flat now, I'll put a tenner on them being the next tenants. A shame really as the dad went to all that trouble of finishing the staircase!
Roussette · 14/05/2021 07:58

I have no interest in builders family at all. I don't even really know who the other guy who keeps popping up and annoying them is. Something about parentage and Aggie, but don't want an update, because I don't care!
I never post about them particularly, but had to pick up on the staircase. Because it is 100% proof the writers read our threads Grin

Me too. Although I wonder if there is more but they jus my haven’t shared it with Kelly to see what else she says.
eggandonion · 14/05/2021 08:45

Why isn't Craig involved, he is in CID now. Then he would gossip and we would know what was going on.
I don't know why the Glory parents are in the Aggie house either, they could move far away to Rosamund Street which hasn't been mentioned in years.

Joysexrennovator · 14/05/2021 08:48

Would Corey really have said "more Open University than Oxbridge"?
