My dh and I looked after a teen relative for a few weeks, it's not easy and we weren't sure how much freedom she should have had.

We didn't have any kids back then, so why people thought we could cope I have no idea.

Something which shows complete lack of realism is for example, Faye going to court and then prison. Anna not mentioned at all. I know she left the soap ages ago but she is still alive so why no cameo appearance or video link between her and Faye?

The actress may not want to return to do that. They could have had a phone call showing Fayes end of the conversation with Anna though.

Yes that is what I meant. Not even a hint of communication between mother and adopted daughter. In real life there would have been.

Last night's was well-written apart from the questioning of Asha in front of Corey. And even if she'd given him an alibi, hopefully the police officer would have picked up on his threatening manner as she was replying.

Faye's baby isn't mentioned either. She went to live with the baby's father, but Faye never mentions her or visits at all. Neither do Tim and Sally.

The way most of the families are interconnected makes it difficult to avoid tragedy among them. Carla and Maria share Liam, Carla and Jenny share Aiden, Carla and Peter share the jigsaw, Daniel and Kirk share Sinead, and so on.

And yes, surely Rick's body will be discovered. I thought that was the whole point of bringing Kelly into the street.

Maybe the writers are waiting for Gary to want to leave and that will be his exit storyline.

Maybe Rick was moved to the canal/industrial area and will be discovered as part of the investigation no less implausible than anything the scriptwriters will come up with

Yes according to Corrie fandom page it says the hodges pretended ether were going on holiday to Canada but after Anna’s texts went unanswered they went to the house to find it empty and it was later confirmed they were staying in Canada. It also says that faye saw Jackson with miley at Wethersfield general in 2017 though so I’m not sure what the current status is for miley.

Does anyone remember Anna's husband when the family first came in to the street? He was the long haired guy in The Full Monty. Then along came Owen. Then along came Phelan. I miss Phelan. He was in my humble opinion, the best baddie the street has ever had.
Talking of emigrating, it is a very convenient way to write out characters and more so children. Abbie's twins emigrated with their new family too.
Now just waiting for the quards to pack their little rucksacks and toddle off to New Zealand. Or somewhere. Anywhere! because I doubt we will see them again on screen.
