Too many loose ends were tied up for Lev not to die:

Told his dad he was gay.
He and Faith finally being kind to each other.
Went to police to make his (truthful) statement.
He and Xander about to reconcile.
Happy pancake breakfast scene with kids.

Honestly, as anyone who's ever watched Home and Away knows, just ONE of those is enough to guarantee an instant disaster - five was just overkill.

I had to look away as the 2nd train hit,it was horrible. It was sad that Fenisha was killed off too. I thought Ethans acting was very good, especially the crying at the end.

Must admit I'm not sorry to see Fenisha go. Fpund her tiresome. Not top pushed about Lev either.

I wasn’t keen on Fenisha but I’m sad for Ethan. I was surprised both of them died.

I could never take to Fenisha, I thought she was quite manipulative and seemed to love being the centre of attention.

Every Casualty wedding has to have some drama, it never goes to plan!

I'd say Matthew being there is untenable when his driving caused both of them to die essentially, but like @TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross i watch Home and Away where Jas caused Kat's death and ended up married to Kat's lover. Heaven is gonna be totes awkward

I don't see how Lev could have survived a collision with a train travelling at speed even for a few minutes, let alone all the way back to Holby.

However, I must confess to being quite pleased he's gone, I found him increasingly annoying.

What's is it with Ethan's eyesight and tragedy? He lost his glasses after Cal's death, but according to the trailers he's gone back to them following Fenisha's demise.

@Terhou I don't think he did. I think it was showing how E wouldn't give up. R went into the other trauma room and said something like Lev's in there, he's dead but E won't stop.

But realistically if his heart had stopped at the scene - which is likely - surely he wouldn't even have made it into Resus? I don't want to be too graphic, but the result of being hit by several tons of metal going at high speed is highly likely to be limbs being torn off at the very least, but they kept Lev artistically in one piece.

I agree that the staging of Lev across the railway line seemed totally unrealistic!

I hate films/shows where people totally unnecessarily put themselves in danger of being late for something important (e.g. making stupid wedding favours, going to a medical appointment for which they're bound to have to wait). It always puts me in mind of my anxiety dreams when I'm invariably trying to get somewhere I urgently need to be but keep missing my train, getting on the wrong one, leaving something vital behind etc. Casualty is constantly doing it, e.g. people missing vital interviews because they insist on getting involved with a patient that someone else could deal with perfectly well.

The second train left me with an open mouth.
Raging Fenisha was killed off it'd have been nice for the relationship to develop.
Poor Jacob his partner reminds me of an ex.

YES! It's ridiculous!

I mean, why wasn't Rash at the wedding? He wasn't DOING anything at the hospital - just standing around while Dylan diagnosed Ollie!

And Fenisha and those wedding favours was such a contrived plot device.

I meant to response to this when I first read it and for some reason just thought about it. Yes, he would not have been in a lot worse shape than the unmarked topless shot of Lev's hairy chest we got! Which I have to say I'm grateful for - the unmangled body not the topless shot necessarily.

Lev's death stare was realistic.
