So it seems that the other person in the photo that Jo is related to is already dead, which rules out a lot of these theories.

Yes I heard that on there too, but most people (and the script) suggest they are a criminal.

There are a number of former police officers who have been convicted. Dryden, Fairbanks, the vice guy who Denton pinned to the wall with the car, some of Danny Waldrons AFO crew...

My money is on Mike Dryden.

So the DNA was in Jo’s flat? It can’t be Tommy Hunter or John Corbett or Jimmy Lakewell because dead,dead,prison. DNA wouldn’t last that long in a lived in and presumably frequently cleaned flat would it?

It was Jo's DNA on the flat, not the relative's.

They collected the DNA from the flat and did a run agains the police database and nominal a database. They found a full match in the police database, that match was obviously Jo.

They also ran Jo's DNA against the nominal database and found a partial match, so Jo's DNA is a blood relative match with someone on the criminal database.

I think the identical twins comment came from a clueless DC and was intended as a lighthearted example of just how bonkers the poster’s child was getting rather than a serious suggestion of her own.
