My confusion is why are Jo’s prints not all OVER the house given she lived with Fareeda? Or am I confused?

The photo is not of the person she’s related to, who Steve said was a nominal (aka a criminal or someone who’s been arrested) and not police. He said their details were over the page. That doesn’t mean the photo was of them.

Best theory so far is that her son is the young armed robber they wheeled out in the same episode.

I'm wondering, since it's a criminal connection and not a police officer, that she is related to Jimmy Lakewell. Might explain the grand flat and why she was cooperating with OCG, since Jimmy was on the inside and around bent prison officers and other OCG criminals, so was at risk from them. I think Jimmy knew that the terrorist plot in S1 was bungled on purpose to allow the terrorists to escape, which is what Jimmy meant by the police preferring to appear racist than something much bigger (corrupt and supporting terrorism) on the audio clip. If Jo knows this from Lakewell, it would make her vulnerable. Bit of a mad theory, but it probably is Tommy Hunter (although disappointingly too obvious and I'm not sure what it would bring other than showing an obvio"us connection with Jo and OCG)

How does it work with police files and the deceased? Was Hilton Scottish? Would his police file be removed and but would they hold a criminal file for him?

Who gave clearance for transferring Lakewell from prison. It would be interesting to see who signed it off as it was hinted someone senior outside AC-12.

There was a scene where there was a suspect look between Steve and Ted like they were upto something. Anyone spot that?

It could definitely be Lakewell. I keep thinking though that Chloe doesn’t know this person. Because her reaction was “I don’t really get the relevance of this”, whereas Steve and Ted knew it was bad. So I think someone they know and she doesn’t. Someone male. Criminal database rather than police.

Not many options. Could be Corbett if he was removed from the police database. Could be Lakewell. Could be the young man from the armed robbery but not sure Ted has seen him?

She threw a glass at it, but didn’t smash the picture.

We also don’t yet know for definite that it’s her mum, that’s just what came up on the audio description but that could have been a guess/assumption.

Would the young gunman DNA be in the database ? & surely if he wee Jo's son she wouldn't have diverted to the robbery he was doing and Hastings wouldn't have been so shocked by DNA link

The pic is definitely Jo.. He moved papers aside and then said mog... When he saw the actual pic. Its also a he.

It can’t be Andrea Wise. Aside from the fact she’s not male, she would not be in the criminal database, she would be in the police database.

@SummerHouse so you mean Jimmy Lakewell? I think she was shocked because she realised that he didn't grass, yet was still killed as a warning to her. It was fear for her own position I think rather than grief.

Yes, and I just finished rewatching s5 and Carmichael says something about John’s DNA from the database being used to identify his body I think? So it was removed while he was UCO but not destroyed or anything as they’d have been putting it back when pear tree was over

I think the same, it didn’t seem about any personal connection, but the fact Ryan was giving her a clear warning.

The DNA matching lakewell’s is plausible but I don’t think it’s that likely as it’s too convenient when it’s right after he was killed. I think Steve and Chloe would have worded it differently if it was someone so recently important? It sounded more like they were talking about someone from the past, to my ear anyway.

In favour of it being Lakewell (although I don’t actually think it is), Chloe was “confused” which suggests it is someone she is aware of. She would obviously know Lakewell, not sure she would know too much about eg Tommy Hunter.
