Rafa’s in Monte Carlo - does it start next week? I’m excited! Although Djok will also be there - boo!

It does start next week- it's one of my favourites tournaments because of the scenery.
I just hope I get to see some of it.

It will be odd to see it, without big crowds, though.

Yes we can but hope ! His celebration is even more ridiculous when no one is there

I can't remember now what I was watching (it might have been Rome) but one of the commentators- (could have been Builder Tim) was very scathing about Djok 'performing' to an empty stadium. It was a bit very daft.

It seems like another lifetime now- 2 years ago when MC was last played, Djok did lose in the QFs - which is relatively early. So, fingers crossed.

I was going through all the stuff with DS in hospital at the time, so tennis was a real distraction. Unfortunately, Rafa stressed me out further by losing all the time in tournaments he was meant to win- apart from Rome/RG.

Oh my goodness Jane that's horrific.

Been running around like a headless chicken this morning- thought I might need to make an emergency trip to the hospital with dd2, who woke up really unwell. Panicked that neither of us had 'hospital ready' ironed pyjamas and started frantically doing washing and ironing. (I worry about the stupidest things, I swear).

Crisis averted, for now anyway, (thanks to a chat with our lovely stoma nurse) but I've decided I need an 'emergency bag' (like a maternity bag) on standby from now on- to calm my nerves.

It's too early for a drink, isn't it?

Oh- and it's fucking properly SNOWING!

(Which has not pleased dh on only the second week of the resume football season).

That sounds like a stressful morning Raahh - glad that you don’t have to go to hospital (do you really iron pyjamas? )

I’m still in bed - must get up soon!

Fizzy no- as a rule, I don't iron pyjamas but they were all really creased, and I thought I should make a bit of an effort .

So- we now both have a few pairs of clean, ironed, mainly mis-matched pyjamas . Most of dd2s are Christmas ones (I think I bought a job lot when she was recovering from surgery, and didn't get dressed for weeks).

I hate ironing- unless there is something to watch on tv. If I have let it pile up, I will watch a lengthy repeat of something like Miss Marple to keep me occupied.

I also hate ironing - DS1 has gone back to work in an office so I now have DS and DH’s shirts to iron every week (not quite sure why that’s my job ) no wonder I’ve taken to my bed!

Oh- shirts are the worst- yes, it also seems to my job to do dhs and everyone elses. He hasn't been wearing them whilst working from home, unless he has had a proper 'big boss' type zoom meeting- and there haven't been many of those.

I need to walk the dog- but the snow is annoying me.

I am proud to say that I have not ironed once in 2021 - it will change when summer comes & I wear dresses if it's hot!

It's been good seeing the players' photos from Monte Carlo. Looks lovely and spring-like, which is more than I can say for the weather round here as it's been snowing again today

Looking forward to watching a bit of MC though, I only just realised it's actually already started

magi the annoying thing is that I don’t really iron any of my stuff! DS1 just tried to iron his shirts - it ended up with him having a bit of a tantrum

Looking forward to watching Monte Carlo - the weather is strange here - one minute it’s snowing and then it’s sunny!

It’s DH’s birthday this week - we’re booked to eat out (literally out!) - hope it’s not snowing then (although it has snowed on his birthday before!)

kazza it is - I have just managed to sit down and watch.

They are laughing about the covers over the player's chairs- they are really low down no good for the tall players.

And bloody hell- I sit down to watch- and it's raining!!
