Ruby was Preg, had a mc, lied about it to put Stacey in prison, prob as due in real life

I think Karen is taking it a bit too far tbh. Bailey isn't even biologically her daughter ffs. I know she loves her like one of her own. But come on!

They've been through a lot though, what with her mum's death. They are very close and Karen is all about her family. I don't think it was unbelievable at all.

It was an impassioned speech by Karen but the present was given from a good place and it's not Dee's fault she couldn't get another job or if they didn't want her working in the salon !
I do feel sorry for her and it was sad , but a few things made me think she was a bit unreasonable.

Karen’s reaction didn’t come across over the top at all to me. She adores Bailey and I think she feels an obligation to her as Chantelle and Keegans’s sister, especially with Chantelle having passed away.

Actually, it was over the top but that was the whole point and completely believable. Not only is she worried about Bailey but also the way her family is going to be perceived by the general public. Hence why she lost her shit with her neighbours.

I’m really intrigued to see how they deal with Linda being pregnant by Max considering he’s left. I don’t even think it’s an extended break, he’s properly gone. Surely he’d be back in Walford like a shot if he knew, especially considering he’s lost 2 children before. He was desperate to be with Linda so I’d think he’d be all over that baby. I did think maybe Mick will accept the baby and they’ll just raise it as their own and forget about Max but surely Jack would have something to say when the baby pops out in 4 months time?

I’m baffled. I wonder if they’ll do a late term abortion story with Linda, she still has a small window of time being 5 months I think? It’d sort of fit in with the Nancy story, mother and daughter both making choices about their reproductive health sort of thing.

There's no way they'd do a late term abortion story. EE is vehemently anti-abortion. Every time there is an unwanted pregnancy they bash the idea of pregnancy and the woman ends up keeping the baby. It's something I noticed years ago and always watch out for. There have been an abortion or too, but it was portrayed as shameful.

Karen’s behaviour was an emotional breakdown so it wasn’t rational. She is in serious panic mode coupled with shock that Bailey is missing, pent up grief, feeling judged by the police and appeal viewers, along with the impact of being made redundant and having no money. Basically her cup floweth over and when that happens- it’s messy.

Ronnie had a daughter in her early teens and her dad ( Archie Mitchell ) made her give her up for adoption. She came looking for her mum but she didn't tell her who she was but just befriended her !
She became pregnant by a person unknown and Ronnie helped her and took her to the clinic, not realizing that she aborting her own grand child !
Danielle was killed outside the vic on the day Archie married Peggy Mitchell. Ronnie then discovered that Danielle was actually her daughter .. duf duf duf ..
For EE , it was all quite tragic really.
(Archie was killed by Stacey with the vic statue one happy Christmas)

Stacey has had an abortion too.

I think they don't linger as a storyline in the way that having a baby does so we forget them fairly quickly.

I think Stacey's abortion was one of the things that contributed to him jumping off the vic roof wasn't it? Maybe? Not sure tho and I never google anything to do with ee as too many spoilers!

Why did Stacey abort Bradley's baby? Don't think I was watching EE in those days. She loved and was married to him, wasn't she? Or did she think it might be her FIL Max's baby as she had an affair with him, didn't she?

Ironic that Stacey still had babies with several other men, including Kush as a one night stand but didn't think to abort them 🤨
