Police corruption from 1992. I think this was the Line of Duty of its day. I loved it (and Neil Pearson). Dont know how well it has aged. Any other fans?

I remember. We used to call it Between the Sheets. Glad it's back.

I love a bit of 90s nostalgia. Smile.

bubblebubblebubbletrouble · 25/03/2021 23:22

I loved that show although my memory's hazy now. Bad apples.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 25/03/2021 23:43

Thank you for the heids up.

Buggerthebotox · 26/03/2021 07:50

Cheekyweeshite: that's my recollection regarding Laverty's body too. We see her in the chest freezer, we see the freezer in Terry's flat, but we don't see the body inside the freezer until S5, when Miroslav remarks on it. The body is then disposed of as I recall and is found and identified as being Laverty.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/03/2021 21:32

Never seen. But on record for Sunday

Ellmau · 27/03/2021 00:28

I've always thought it was an influence on LOD.

DramaAlpaca · 27/03/2021 00:30

Never mind Between the Sheets, I knew it as Between the Loins Grin

It was brilliant, such a clever show. And yes, a definite influence on LOD.

twilightcafe · 27/03/2021 00:30

Fantastic! I shall enjoy watching this again.

Sparklingbrook · 27/03/2021 00:31

I rewatched this when I found all the episodes on YouTube during lockdown one. Neil Pearson was fine in it but he wore the baggiest suits I've ever seen. Grin

RichardMarxisinnocent · 27/03/2021 00:32

Between the Sheets here too

And here! I used to love it.

PussyCatEatingEasterEggs · 27/03/2021 11:28

Mmmmm. Neil Pearson 😍

Definately 😉 a prequel to LoD

Sparklingbrook · 27/03/2021 11:31

There was just something about him wasn’t there?
One thing I did notice was the chain smoking by loads of the characters. Seems shocking now.

BoreOfWhabylon · 27/03/2021 13:55

Oooh, thanks! Loved this (and Neil Pearson) at the time. Will be interesting to see how it holds up.

Sparklingbrook · 27/03/2021 13:59

I have just looked and it's still all on YouTube if you can't wait til tomorrow.

purrswhileheeats · 27/03/2021 15:56

Oh, Neil Pearson with his floppy hair and matching floppy face... 😅

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 27/03/2021 16:57

I went to a premiere in Leicester Square in 2019, part of the London film festival. Stood next to Neil Pearson in the queue. He has aged well.

A few years ago was on a tube train and Lesley Vickerage got on and looks even better in real life.

StationView · 27/03/2021 19:26

Ooh, that you so much for mentioning this. I'd have missed it otherwise. Loved it back in the nineties and yes, everyone called it Between the Sheets.

I remember hearing Tony Garnett (executive producer) interviewed years ago and he said that as part of the casting process he'd sneakily made Neil Pearson walk past a row of secretaries to get to his (Tony Garnett's) office. He checked with the women afterwards to see if they thought Neil was hot Shock. Obviously, they all said he was....

How do I get that heart-eyed icon? I feel a definite need of it here Blush

Buggerthebotox · 28/03/2021 09:07

Great cast. There was some great drama around then, wasn't there?

I'm wondering how it will stack up against Line of Duty and hope it's dated well.

Nith · 28/03/2021 23:29

Interesting seeing people like Ciaran Hinds and Ben Chaplin at such an early stage in their careers.

Ellmau · 28/03/2021 23:51

Thoughts on ep 1:

Neil Pearson was much hotter than Martin Compston is.

Very very white cast.

All the smoking!

The ancient computers!

Otherwise not too dated, I thought?

twilightcafe · 29/03/2021 08:51

Also - no Botox, fillers, veneers or hair extensions. All the cast have forehead lines.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 29/03/2021 12:20

Can’t wait to watch this at the end of the week with a lovely something chilled.

Can’t wait to see something when people still had normal faces.
