It also seems to have been forgotten that Carla only went back to the factory short-term to help Nick. She acts like she still owns it - as do the staff.

Why are they turning all the women over a certain age into doddery child like characters. First Gail, now Yasmeen. I realise Yasmeen is suffering PTSD but she isn’t a toddler! Why have they got her behaving like she is absolutely helpless without Alya?

Heartily agree. Their treatment of Gail is ridiculous. All middle aged women seem to be a joke to the Street writers.

They’re doing it to Sally now too. They had her skipping round that bistro like a 5 year old in a fairy costume the other night. Sally, the former Mayor! Sally who has served time in prison. Squeeing about wearing a dress.

I thought I'd misheard the "tripe soup" bit. Where on earth did he get the tripe from, and why?? Or maybe I missed something.

Tripe is very popular in Cork. This is a fact, not a recommendation

I was in a Corrie black hole on Youtube and ended up watching the scenes building up to Aiden's suicide and Gail's monologue afterwards

Posted too soon! It was so well done and I was in floods. Sometimes the Corrie writers do get it right. With all the rubbish they're serving these days, though, it's easy to forget the good stuff.

I miss Blanche so much

One of my favourite Blanche moments was when she thought Ken was gay because he’d been reading Michael Tolliver Lives. When she said to Deirdre, “I have nothing against the gays. You know I’d walk over hot coals for Paul O’Grady! And I’m not saying the fella in chapter 13 isn’t supple! Far from it...”

Blanche was amazing.

I'm going to stop watching it - going to miss it for a week and see if I miss it, if you see what I mean.

The wedding dresses were vile! Glad they didn't walk near a lit candle, they'd have gone up in flames being so nylon-y.

I think the last wedding dress made in underworld was the one Rana was wearing when she died! Maybe they don’t want to take their chances again

Rana was beautiful. I wish she hadn't decided to marry Faye. She'd have been a good character in lockdown, battling covid with dr Badass.
