Reviews have been excoriating ...

AnyFucker · 25/02/2021 20:39

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy....

Pebbledashery · 25/02/2021 21:02

This ridiculous game show again.

Ugh this contestant reminds me of an older version of an ex

As if the game show wasn't bad enough!

butterpuffed · 26/02/2021 08:05

Confusing and complicated game ! I thought the two contestant couples I saw were unlike any others I've seen on quiz shows, very confident, very talkative, chatting away like they were at home, completely unfazed by being on tv. Wonder how they were picked Hmm

Bluntness100 · 26/02/2021 08:09

We like it. The first show was quite bad, because it was all about the brother ans sister contestants. But it seems to have gotten better. I don’t think the game is remotely complex to understand.

Onedropbeat · 26/02/2021 08:11

Caught a bit of this last night

How something like that ended up on bbc is beyond me

I couldn’t watch. It was almost embarrassing

Onedropbeat · 26/02/2021 08:12

@JovialNickname

I haven't watched it .... does he shout at the contestants like he shouts in his other programmes? ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION, YOU FUCKING IDIOT!! FUCK!!!
The listing warns of bad language but I didn’t hear any in the short time we saw of it

I’m guessing he does though

pilates · 26/02/2021 08:17

Dreadful, get it off

EventuallyDeleted · 26/02/2021 08:18

He called Falkirk a shithole last night. We managed to watch it while chatting, playing with our phones and generally taking the piss.

MuddleMoo · 26/02/2021 10:31

I have found my people! Thanks @Sparklingbrook!

I don't understand it and the contestants all seem annoying!

MuddleMoo · 26/02/2021 10:34

That lightning one annoys me too but I think they had to make something during covid times

PatNextDoor · 26/02/2021 10:39

We watched this, and Pooch Perfect last night because our internet was down.

Between the dog groomers shaving giant teddy bear dogs to look like horses, and Gordon's red face looming over the pretend gold bars, it was hard to tell whether I was awake or having some hideous dream.

Being Scottish I can safely say it is in parts. But as soon as he said it I thought he’s going to be slaughtered for that. Although the Scots tend to have a sense of humour so may well agree..😃
HunkyPunk · 26/02/2021 10:49

TV seems to be awash programmes which bored celebrities have invented over lockdown and managed to blag past desperate commissioning editors.

HunkyPunk · 26/02/2021 10:49

*awash with

the80sweregreat · 26/02/2021 10:58

A bit like the whole Nicola Sturgeon/ Alex Salmon allegations , this is another thing I don't understand in my life at the moment.
I must admit, I was only ' half watching ' it and didn't catch the start last night , but when I did glance up fro my phone I was a bit ' what are they meant to be doing here?' They seemed to be putting blocks on a cheaply made set. It was a bit like ' the million pound drop ' without any of the tension. I don't mind Gordon Ramsey but I was amused that in the credits it was a 'Ramsey production' so he has probably made a lot from from this programme I would have thought! He is much better at shouting at people in kitchens!

That made me lol! The dog that became a gorilla was surreal. Then this came on with fake gold bars! It was a Thursday night trip a thon.
MuddleMoo · 26/02/2021 11:01

its a bit like the balancing penguin game or buckaroo

CattyCactus · 26/02/2021 11:04

@Lunaballoon

Do the commissioning editors really think GR has some kind of appeal to the public or do they think the public will watch any old shit, let’s come up with a new quiz show with GR?

Personally, anything with his ugly mug and sweary gob in would have me instantly grabbing the remote control.

.

Totally agree. I can’t abide him.
Blacktothepink · 26/02/2021 19:05

I agree as well, I absolutely can’t stand this bellend...

TheLaughingGenome · 27/02/2021 21:26

I watched the first 'episode' on here, with much mirth on this thread, and the memories of Kilroy-Silk and Worral-Thomson and Jasper Carrott.

Watched part of #2 with DP and DS to show them how shit Bank Balance is.

DS said the wobbly thing is wrong in physics.

The end.

Sparklingbrook · 27/02/2021 21:42

DS said the wobbly thing is wrong in physics.

I think he's on to something there. Grin

BasiliskStare · 28/02/2021 18:21

We gave it a go because ( especially at the moment - i.e. can't go out ) we like quiz programmes - I agree - far too slow, Of all the talents Gordon Ramsey has - & he has them to be fair ) being a quiz show host is not one. It looks like they have auditioned guests before they go on. so the entertainment is the guests

Whoever said it was a bit like Buckaroo Flowers Who said Robert Kilroy-Silk - share or shaft - which didn't get more episodes. Was that you @mum2jakie - utterly rubbish

Who wants to be a millionaire is utterly simple & all the better for it I think.

We gave it two goes - but no more. Lovely for him if he owns part of a production company & some will like it - but not for this family. There you go

Ha ha

BasiliskStare · 28/02/2021 18:23

Oh @mum2jakie - I meant share or shaft was rubbish - not you Blush
