I love Lydia. One of the best additions of recent years. Karen Blick can handle comic and dramatic scenes equally well.

She’s much better than she used to be. She’s taken on the mother of the house role and I think it suits her character.

PP who mentioned why the hearse has not been reported stolen - I think Faith said something about knowing a few illegal things the funeral director had been up to, so he wouldn’t risk the Police sniffing around.

The storyline of Mandy and Paul should be okay ,, gambling addiction hiding it from friends and family a fantasist arranging his own kidnapping and bullying his son but the actors don’t carry it off they have no charisma and it stretches are imagination to think his own grown son hasn’t said anything ? Come on Lydia sort it out

That’s pretty much it in a nutshell - Reece Dinsdale and Lisa Riley just don’t gel on screen. The sad thing is, both can act, but they’re not a good fit; plus Mandy has been turned into a caricature by the writers. Lisa Riley is more than capable of emotional scenes (as seen in her lockdown episode), but at the moment all she’s getting is OTT screeching and crying.

I agree. I don’t think Lydia will tolerate that crap from him. He’s made a mistake.

Does Lydia know that Paul beat Vinny up as she seems to know more than she is letting on.
She looked so pretty in her new coat and hat at the end and then that shitpot Paul was horrible to her, but as PP have said, he's taken on the wrong woman - let's hope he gets exposed not literally, God forbid soon

I don’t think anyone knows about vinny being assaulted yet. I’m guessing Lydia will overhear Paul being aggressive with vinny and then ask vinny what’s been going on.

I'm waiting to see what will happen when Lydia finds out Paul took out a credit card in her name then took maxxed it out with a cash withdrawal. Or did the writers forget about that? It was a few weeks ago now, surely it won't be long til the statements start coming in.

Yes that story seems to have been forgotten about. Hopefully this is all going to lead to a big showdown and exit for the ghastly Paul - hopefully he'll take the besotted Mandy with him, never to return.
