Ooh yes I remember something similar happening on Casualty once. A nurse went with her boyfriend to meet his mother who had given him up for adoption, and it was HER mother!

Yes, I remember that as I had a massive crush on the boyfriend who I believe was called Merlin. I haven't watched Casualty since Toyah was in it.

Just caught up with tonight's episodes. I really feel for Simon, lumbered with such shite parents. I've said it before, but surely Steve should be grieving Oliver just a bit more?

I think Michael will turn out to be Ed's brother's son, as didn't Michael ask his dad on Wednesday what it was like when he was born etc and Ed said he wasn't in the delivery room, no doubt because Aggie was consumed with guilt at shagging her bro in law and having his child.

Akire · 19/02/2021 22:28

Oh that is an idea. Though I don’t think because she had affair maybe he raped her. She wasn’t very comfortable at all with him. If was a let’s never tell anyone pack, then they both be sworn to secrecy. He looked totally happy typical abuser behaviour getting away with stuff.

I know Leanne is grieving but poor Simon now he’s off the rails and probably use drugs as well.

Clawdy · 19/02/2021 22:36

I thought she was uncomfortable with him because she still fancied him, after a fling years ago. He is rather more attractive than her husband!

WeeWillyWanky · 19/02/2021 22:37

Yes, that would actually make more sense Akire

I think the scriptwriters have done quite a good job of showing how Simon has become vulnerable to being preyed on.

Pileonsally · 19/02/2021 22:38

Why are Eddie and his brother totally different skin colours?
Eddie is just cringey actor

Akire · 19/02/2021 22:41

Michael said they are so alike the other day, outside showed how much skin and looks are so different. They could have got a bald slightly over weight 50 something year old for starters.

I think What’s her face is looking really good with the fake bump. She must have been pregnant herself the way she sits walks moves is just spot on. Not in the OTT holding bump way that some actors do.

RubysArms · 19/02/2021 22:42

It's not all that uncommon for black siblings to vary in skin tone.

I was thinking the same about Grace she looks very convincingly pregnant and very good on it. I really wish they would ingratiate the Baileys more with other characters on the street, it’s like they just live in their own little world, no friendships or relationships built with longstanding characters, that’s why they don’t gel with the audience, Agi needs to fall out with Eileen and then build a friendship bond or something! Anything!
Akire · 20/02/2021 01:35

The dad is quite nice as the cheeky builder next door. I like way they have taken on Paul and will look out for him. All the other builders have been very involved.

MaliceOrgan · 20/02/2021 04:08

Why was Kevin a funny shade of green?
Is he moonlighting as Kermit. Or the Hulk?
has he taken a PP's comment about him being as part of the street as one of the cobbles and decided to grow moss? Was there something in the fridge's disco lights? And if so, does it include super powers?

Clawdy · 20/02/2021 08:22

Yes, he did look green! And he looked old enough to be Abi's dad! At least with the distancing rule, we're spared the cringey sight of them snogging......

I thought the same. Aggie clearly didn’t want to be left alone with him.

Is anyone else thinking James will sleep with Paul and Billy will get jealous? And perhaps it will be in the press that James is involved with a male ex-con, scuppering his dream move to Fictional FC?

Poor Simon. He's not nurtured at all, is he? In fact, on the contrary, as Leanne is a nasty bitch.

Clawdy · 21/02/2021 08:13

I've always felt sorry for Simon.Nobody has ever really put him first. If his mum had lived, his life would have been so different.

BenoneBeauty · 21/02/2021 10:01

That's very true @Clawdy - so sad.

eggandonion · 21/02/2021 10:04

Hed have been better off with her parents. Ken was a useless father, Peter is a disaster, Leanne is horrible. I'm hoping Nicks soncan rescue Simon.
Is he called Harry? What is Sarah s kid called? Can she remember?

Nick's son is Sam and Sarah's is Harry, though I agree that I'd be surprised if she can remember!
icecreamgirl94 · 21/02/2021 11:36

The most neglected child has to be Jake surely? Considering how desperate Gary and Izzy were for a child he’s scarcely been seen since his birth. Gary cared more about Harry when he was with Sarah and Liam when he was with Maria.

It struck me when they referenced the anniversary of Val’s death recently - the same could be said for Peter. They never really make much of the fact that both Peter and Simon were brought up motherless.

That hairdryer has a lot to answer for...

The mention of Izzie reminds me of the cannabis story. She said it was the only thing that helped her with the pain. How did they resolve it? They didn't. Another story just left dangling.

Silenceisgolden20 · 21/02/2021 13:34

Hang on a min, this has prob already been said but why isn't Kevs sister in trouble for keeping Ray in that flat from the police?

Silenceisgolden20 · 21/02/2021 13:34

Poor Simon. Someone give him some attention

Who knows? It's bonkers.
JackieWeaverIsTheAuthority · 21/02/2021 14:41

Urgh instantly hating uncle Ronnie. Terrible actor. Is it possible he’s worse than Eddie?

eggandonion · 21/02/2021 15:05

Gary has forgotten Jake and his mammy, and Phelans daughter and baby, also his mother.
Sam, that's him, always seems to lurk around and appear mysteriously. Now his mum has gone.
They should do a series of missing women off corrie.
