Join the MN Coronation Street thread today and you too could have an exciting lifestyle where you earn your own money, set your own hours and most definitely do not end up eating the chocolate off the Bounty at the bottom of the Celebrations tub out of desperation! Absolutely not a pyramid selling scheme, hun!

I think it was a fridge they were in?

In which case, why didn't they make sure they kept hydrated (there were cartons of something in there - and there was celery and vegetables!)

And didn't I spy desserts?

I totally get that being in a freezer would finish them off, but I thought surviving in a fridge would be a bit like a bad night camping. Or have I got this totally wrong?

Bobbybobbins · 16/02/2021 13:53

Ooh interesting I thought freezers for some reason but I guess you would succumb a lot quicker....

Honeyroar · 16/02/2021 13:55

No you’re right. They’ve outdoor clothes and coats, they should be fine in a fridge. And why would such a small restaurant have such a huge walk in fridge (with nothing much in it!)

They’re in there because Ray shoved Debbie in and hurt her. Kevin hit Ray, knocked him out and went in to help Debbie. While they were talking did that thing that only baddies do, and came round. He shut them in and broke the lock off..

TheLaughingGenome · 16/02/2021 13:59

The dialogue definitely said 'fridge' but the writers now seem to have it identifying as a freezer.

eggandonion · 16/02/2021 14:03

It looked more like a larder than a freezer. The one Anne died in years ago was a freezer, in Firmans Freezers. She deserved it, she wasn't a nice person.
I reckon I hate about 90 percent of the people, it's very satisfying.

Wendyhause · 16/02/2021 14:06

^^^

This is soap land. Expect the unexpected but never assume the expected (feeling dizzy now) and if they can bring back to life dead characters and give some a break then allow them back but with new heads, well I think you get my drift.

Confused
Akire · 16/02/2021 14:23

There were cartoons of milk or juice in background. If was a freezer it would been at -10 so not lasted very long. They also ignored polystyrene boxes of food which they could have sat on and broken up in their clothes for insulation. Surely the fridge had cheese!

Pileonsally · 16/02/2021 14:25

Can we talk about why Fizz talks like a worn out 1950s 60yr old housewife?

Roussette · 16/02/2021 14:57

Deffo a fridge not a freezer as there were bottles of fizz, they'd be popping all over the place if it was a freezer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a fridge temperature much like a really cold night sleeping rough? Agree about the polystyrene boxes, they had sea bass in them.

Roussette · 16/02/2021 14:59

I found Tyrone's reflux very odd. It was almost like the intern had been told he could write a 10 minute section of Corrie. And his mum gets reflux so he thought that might be a good storyline.

ajandjjmum · 16/02/2021 15:22

Normal fridge temperature is 5 degrees - so not even a really cold night. Confused They also had outdoor clothes.

Wendyhause · 16/02/2021 15:54

No mention of needing the toilet in that fridge. Just thought I would put it out there in case I missed something while I was sitting on mine (toilet).

Roussette · 16/02/2021 16:00

Wendy 🤣🤣

They could use a polystyrene container!?

desperatehousewife21 · 16/02/2021 16:09

DH was in the other room and so could only hear it and not see it. He asked if someone was having sexy time as all he could hear was their heavy breathing Grin

Akire · 16/02/2021 17:22

@Roussette

Wendy 🤣🤣

You know those white polystyrene boxes you get that keep heat or cold in really well. Your butt be well cosy sitting on that.
willowsandroses · 16/02/2021 17:28

Hi, joining back in (I have namechanged!)

Will they kill Debbie off, I wonder?

Akire · 16/02/2021 17:32

I hope not. Refreshing have a women in it whose whole story line isn’t around her having a bloke.

ajandjjmum · 16/02/2021 17:38

So true.
eggandonion · 16/02/2021 17:45

Oooh, is there a suitable man for her? I think Ken is too old now, for Debbie.
I wonder if Ray will make it to Turkey.

Akire · 16/02/2021 17:54

Everyone has the bribe video so imagine they will charge him with that and someone will go into bistro (eventually) to get evidence and find bodies?! So then have him on attempt murder or indeed murder. Though it may just be luck haven't seen any great spoilers from ITV or here. They usually do with a traumatic death so maybe they are in luck.

ajandjjmum · 16/02/2021 17:54

No. She's had her men, and has now been focussing on how to build her life herself - for good and bad. She doesn't need a man (necessarily), she is responsible for her own life. Would be good if the writers changed her into being a force for good, to make good the obvious errors that she's made along the way.

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 16/02/2021 18:23

Re archdeacon Billy. Yes to some extent he should expect parishioners to "bother" him. But actually most would go to the Vicar as first port of call. I wouldn't even know how to contact the local archdeacon, but could WhatsApp the Vicar if I needed.

I thought they'd stuck an emergency eyebrow pencil in the fridge fan. Doesn't that mean it wouldn't be so cold? Confused

Tyrone can not be almost 40 because he's only a couple of years older than me. And I'm not... oh... never mind Grin

Akire · 16/02/2021 18:49

It’s up to the vicar to decide on their space and the PCC to vote yes or no on flogging the pews. PCC and regular members will be the ones doing the ministry of chairs (putting out, stacking up, putting out, stacking up) for ever more!

eddiemairswife · 16/02/2021 18:51

The Bistro fridge looks much larger than the Bistro itself.

Akire · 16/02/2021 18:54

They could give Billy a church or an office at least surely budget would reach to an office where poor parishioners can visit? Part of reason why he seems non character is we never see him doing anything remotely vicar-ish.
I did think the community centre was a waste after the initial flurry of community days and holiday clubs.
