Years back, Irish tv show . A toddler died after eating ecstasy tablets she found on the floor.

Kat and Ronnie with the baby swap in Eastenders. I didn't watch until it was resolved.

Rachel and Joey in friends. Yuck.

I agree with you about that story.I even sent an official complaint to BBC but it fell on deaf ears.

When Susan Kennedy offered to be a surrogate mother for Libby in Neighbours. It was too weird.

Just when EastEnders went all lock stock gangster for a bit.

When Sybil died in Downton Abbey and they just replaced her with Rose. I HATE IT when they write out a character and then replace them with an almost identical one through some kind of stupid circumstances. Go in a different direction FFS.

Anything that Corrie has done since about 2015

@nildesparandum it was just awful wasn't it, I have never had a reaction like that to a soap storyline before or since.

I was a real Eastenders fan years ago, and I particularly loved the storyline where Billy and Little Mo got together at last after her dreadful abusive relationship with her husband. There was a lovely period where they were both so happy. Couldn't last of course. I read that a storyline was being developed where Little Mo would be raped by a stranger. So I stopped watching one of my favourite programmes, before the story began, and I've never seen it since.

Mine are all Eastenders - baby swap, Little Mo being raped, Ronnie and Roxie dying and Chantelle being killed my Gray.

I stopped watching for long periods of time after each of those stories.

Ross and Rachel Friends.

The whole thing is about coercive control and manipulation yet it's supposed to be funny

Gary Lucy's character being raped in Hollyoaks.

The gruesome (drug war iirc) finale of Brookside. Shocking.

Eastenders little Mo and Trevor. Domestic abuse. Trevor looked a lot like my ex husband. Not good.

I went from watching every episode of eastenders from the day it started to never watching it again.

The ending of How I Met your Mother. Spoilt what was a good series. Can't bare to watch any of it now.

The rape and torture of Jamie in Outlander. The fact that it went on for a whole episode was just too much. I had to fast forward through nearly all of it. I'm not usually easily offended, but it seemed like torture porn for the sake of it.

Eastenders, Used to be a huge fan and had grown up watching it since almost the start. I remember one Christmas episode actually being happy for once (think it may have been Kat and Alfie getting married?) and it was so lovely to see a nice relationship develop between them. They then had to ruin it with Kat being blackmailed to sleep with someone else etc and I stopped watching about that time. Just too much misery for characters I'd liked previously.

Sunset beach - Ok, I know every storyline was just batshit crazy but the one where Ben's ex wife came back from the dead just ruined so much of the show. Wasn't too keen on Vanessa's rice Krispie face disease either.

The Bill. When Junes husband became an alcoholic sleeping with prostitutes.

Oh, and how could I forget the whole Angel's son Conner sleeping with Cordelia storyline in Angel. Such a shame it made so many people turn off as the final season ended up being one of the best.
