The ‘footballer comes out as gay’ storyline was so heavily built up - and then was over in pretty much one scene when Tommy O stuck up for him in the changing room. No memory of it being mentioned again.

Almost interesting fact: the actors who play(ed) Tommy O and evil loan shark Rick Neelan are brothers in real life.

I thought Ray and villain looked familiar. The bed sit also looked familiar who else lived there a few years ago?

Agree with this, they have no interactions with anyone on the street at all, let alone relationships or friendships (apart from Bethany for a little while) it’s like they are in their own universe, no chats with Dev whilst getting some milk, no popping into the Rovers or Speed Dahl, no getting the paper and passing the time of day with Rita, that’s why they don’t fit, the writers have completely alienated them and they can’t blame Covid for that it’s been like it pretty much since they arrived, and for the love of god will someone please finish that lethal staircase of theirs! it annoys me everytime I see it.

They have missed a trick, the builder like all builders before him should be in and out of everyone’s home. The footballer is famed by half the middle age men so easily enjoy talking footy over a pint. Michael at least knows the knicker factory but rarely sees anyone.

When Gail was getting the box from the office Michael acted like he'd never met her before - "Oh, you're Nick and Sarah's mum?" They've lived on the same street, where everyone knows everyone, for well over a year.

I thought that too! I suppose it only confirms what earlier posters are saying - the family have never been properly integrated into the community by the writers. Shame.

The only part that caught my attention in last nights episodes was the policeman who stopped Michael to question him, he looked like old head Todd, a bit older and a few more pounds on him but he really reminded me of him.

I did wonder, when they did the dog thing with Tim's mum and Evelyn, if the writers have been reading here again and are lining up a friendship between two older, gossipy ladies?

Will they become the new Rita and Mavis, or Audrey and Alma?

They could actually make a good friendship - Evelyn the blunt, dominant one and Elaine as the softer, slightly more timid one, but not afraid to speak up when necessary. A bit like Ena and Minnie.

Surely Adam and Imran and the combined police operation will sort it out. I suppose the prison set is currently available for ray or Debbie. The hospital room is empty too.
