I'm struggling a bit with this now, I was enjoying watching, but now its just so set up its getting on my nerves

I have finished the series (did fast forward through some episodes). But I think that the one on TV tonight is probably the worst for editing/fakiest.

I wish Lizzie had just walked away after the first dinner party. She deserved better.

Anyone else thinking there's a reason why most of these people are still single? So much drama, they all seem to have issues of some description with commitment, issues with trust, massive glaring insecurities, emotionally distant or far too intense. It's gripping watching but I do wonder if the producers were just trying to cause conflict.

Thought Cam looked liked Freddie Parrot face Davies with his hat on. Dont know how Jules kept a straight face as he made his declaration of love.

They need better scriptwriters:

Ines - 'Do you like olives?'
Sam - 'Yes'
Ines - 'Interesting...'

Ah but maybe that is interesting to lizard lips....don't forget her hobbies

... and I thought society had already reached rock bottom. Good to know, I suppose, that we aren't quite there yet. 😱

I’m not really getting the Sam is so hot thing with Ines. I mean I hear the words but she has no different emotion or facial expression with him or Bronson. The conversation is so dull. It’s all dead pan with a bit of eye widening from time to time.

Sam doesn’t like her much. She’s much ballsier than him.
I especially hate when she compliments him and he says “ what do you mean” so she can elaborate. Every sodding time.

I'm pausing it at the start and then fast forwarding through any bits involving Ines, I liked Bronson at first but lost interest when he said stay and blatantly couldn't see how much his wife disliked him, so now fast forward through his bits too. I did catch the end bit though when Ines accused Lizzie of looking like a cockatoo and that did make me laugh 😁

It does all feel rather forced atm, they're clearly just in it for the 'gram.

Even if it is scripted (I know it is!) why would anyone agree to be cast as the vile ones? Is it a case of all publicity is good publicity?

Ines and Sam are very unconvincing. There's absolutely no flirting. "I love your dress", "You drink wine so elegantly", "you've got great legs". What, not even a cheeky "shall we see how they look around your waist?". If it's scripted they need better scriptwriters!

I’ve yet to see thee episode from tonight but there is no frisson between these two at all.

The dialogue is a shocker.

I’d have been more impressed if she’d said do you like olives? He says aye. She said she can shoot them from her hooha (sticky vicky stylee) and they’ll be stoned on their way out.

I keep saying this about these reality programmes. Who on Earth is happy to look a right hole? Be thought of as a vile human being? My mam would be distraught.

Hmm, getting a bit fed up with the Ines / Sam set up, as someone said earlier on the thread, she’s not changing her expression or anything when she talks about him, she’s just flat affect. I honestly don’t believe she has any emotions, she’s just rhyming off what she’s been told to say. Sam isn’t interested in her - I don’t believe he’s got the morals of a cushion, “closing the chapter” with Lizzie is an excuse. If he was as interested in Ines as he made out they would have got right down to it at their first opportunity. Really hoping they don’t dominate the rest of the season! I really like Bronson but this whole scenario is making me dislike him, surely he can’t be this oblivious? He’s been mugged right off, basically in front of his face. In the preview, does Sam say he’s got juicy gossip knowing that Bronson is sitting there?

Actually liked Mike a bit more this episode. Think he’s definitely trying to make more effort to understand where Heidi is coming from, but not sure he’ll maintain it!

I can't stand Mike. He has such cold eyes. He gives me the creeps.

Bet the juicy gossip is the fact that Lizzie is back, nothing to do with Ines or Bronson

I thought it was hilarious that after Lauren said she wanted to be desired and thrown on the bed, and Melissa said she wanted to be thrown on the bed that guess what, Sam picked Ines up and threw her on the bed 🙄 he did throw her a bit high though, she must have been lighter than he expected 😁

Their conversation was so stilted - do you like cheese? Do you like olives? Your legs are lovely. Its just so cringe.

Ines is so tiny; I must admit I am quite jealous. No one could throw me on the bed like that, they would put their back out!

Can’t believe Ines and Sam’s conversation – so boring – talking about her dress, olives, not very interesting!

I do admit I found Sam very attractive at first, but his personality is so nasty! He is so fake, he thinks he is such a good nice man, so honourable.

Very torn with Mike and Heidi, I do think he is super sexy but also not very nice. But I also think Heidi could be a bit annoying too. I don’t think she is perfect and he is awful.

I thought it was hilarious when everyone else was going to bed (Martha apparently in the bra and top she’d been wearing all day) just as Sam and Ines were heading out. This level of fake is starting to grate a bit.

I imagine the dialogue between Ines and Sam is so stilted is because the producer says "Now tell each other you're hot but keep it PG for the cameras". They don't actually have wave other, they don't know each other, they have no common interests, they can't talk about the experience they're actually having (the experience of being filmed playing a part), they can't talk about personal lives or even talk about films and music, so literally there is nothing to say. Hence "I like olives. All kinds of olives".
