I've just binged this as I've never watched MAFS before.

Ines is one of the most vile people I've ever watched, right up there with Farrah from Teen Mom! She's not attractive in the slightest but maybe it's her personality clouding everything. I want to give Bronson a shake, c* was too nice for her.

Saying that she must be acting or following the producers narrative. The fake set up situations are getting annoying.

Turning up to the dinner with chicken pox was so weird. Even if you were pretty certain you were no longer contagious (I know there are usually clear stages of the virus), surely you’d stay away to be on the safe side? Especially with someone like Nic there who has previously had cancer treatment- I don’t know if that would make him more vulnerable but I’d be too scared to risk passing a virus to someone in that situation!

I'm not sure he should have attended when he'd be diagnosed with an infectious disease. What if some people there weren't immune? And can't contact with CP cause shingles in those who have had CP? 🤔

No you can get chicken pox from contact with shingles blister fluid but not shingles from contact with chicken pox. Contact with chicken pox is supposed to strengthen the immune response and help prevent shingles in someone who has had chicken pox before.

He shouldn't have been there with an infectious disease, that is bizarre

Innes does have pretty eyes but the rest of her face isn't great( fake lips ) and she gurns when she laughs .. I do think it's her ugly personality clouding my judgement though, she is clearly a narcissist because every thing was Bronson's fault in her eyes ( she even said this ) .. yes she is very slim which Is obviously Sam's preference but I think really he is just enjoying her chasing him!
What I don't understand is why they matched him with Lizzie in the first place when innes is his type , maybe they didn't notice lizzies pear shape figure because her top half is slim.. it's so weird because they show they loads of pictures of types at the beginning , how did they get it so wrong!! 🤷‍♀️

The producers will control all the aspects of this - every private conversation, late arrival, no show etc. Every contributor will have filled in endless forms about themselves, their lives and their medical history etc.

I have armchair diagnosed Matt and Ines as being on the autstic spectrum, and Matt as mostly asexual too. I think lauren completely misjudged how open others might be to hearing about what shes into sexually, as I think overall, a lot of them dont seem to be swinging from the chandaliers and threesome types. I remember Tracey saying she was into stuff like that in the last series, but it was only a conversation with Dean when she was sure he would be up for that too, and not as a general conversation with new inexperienced partner and dinner guests.
Shes tried to say it to encourage him, but is now hurt that hes backed off completely.
I dont think its any real loss to her though as I think his personality is on the extreme side of shy and withdrawn, and lauren shouldnt have to hold his bloody hand for everything

I think Ines could be a heavy smoker given that the spaces between her teeth are black.

I commented upthread about the complete lack of chemistry between Ines and Sam and it's been bugging me for ages who they remind me of. It's Chandler and Phoebe when they pretended to fancy each other. Each one of them saying the things they think people in the grips of a forbidden white-hot passion would say but with zero emotion behind it.

Ines particularly strikes me as incredibly naive and inexperienced, much younger than her years. She is trying to act like a fabulous femme fatale but is completely unable to even fake sexual passion. I particularly liked her 'stare into his eyes, drop gaze to his lips and repeat' routine. She must be so mystified that this technique which never fails to seduce in Mills and Boon novels and made for TV movies didn't end in a passionate clinch for her.

I thought Sams body language in their 'secret cup cake' chat last night was also telling. He adopted a confident man spreading, arms thrown open to display his mighty gorilla chest pose but he kept one leg drawn up as a very strong barrier between him and Ines and if he'd wedged himself any further back into the corner of the settee he might have broken it!

As @HumousWhereTheHeartIs says, every moment of this is tightly choreographed and controlled by the production team. I reckon they have picked up on one comment from Ines about preferring Sam to Branson and are encouraging her to run with that as a way to remain on the show. She is so naive and lonely that any attention is better than no attention and has fallen for their bullshit hook, line and sinker.

I can tell from some of the phrases the male 'ixpert' uses that he has been trained in a particular style of couples therapy called Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT) indicating that he does have some professional expertise in couples work. As such he should be ashamed of himself for being associated with what is no longer primarily an attempt to match up people who might be suited but moving towards blatant exploitation of some very vulnerable and needy individuals

Also it will be shot with one camera. The close-ups, the reaction, the questions and the secret conversations will all be reset and redone. So when you see a shot of someone making a shocked face or laughing, it won't necessarily be in reaction to what it seems. And some of the conversations that seem set up will have to be redone because of the limitations. In the UK, very few programmes are shot with more than one camera.

...So I imagine Australia will be the same

I think she's quite naturally striking. She has beautiful eyes. And she's petite of course which seems to be Sam's type. The personality that we see makes her appear quite unattractive though. I'm hoping there's much more to her that they've chosen to edit out.

I think she'd look better if she didnt slather her face in grey foundation. When she gazes at Sam she reminds me of Kaa, the snake in Jungle book 😁

The one thing I like about Jess is she sticks up for whatever her partner wants to wear or look like. I like her more than I did even though she's still in it for the likes.
I think it was just weird they didn't mention where lizzie was and even weirder that they let Sam go with chicken pox, don't let anything get in the way of a story!!
I also still think Mel would be better with farmer boy. They would have such a laugh.
Struggling not to Google all these especially after seeing what lizzie looks like now.

i think its unfair to say that Jess is only in it for the likes. I dont think shes any worse than anyone else for that. Maybe less than farmer boy, but nothing unusual compared to the others on the show. She seems quite genuine to me.
I do think its a shame seeing her more recent pics though as shes gone really surgery heavy

That was my first impression of her and it has yet to change. Although she doesn’t seem to be as nasty as some.

But the more I watch of this, the more I think that most of the people here are there for the fame, the likes, the shits, the giggles, the exposure, the platform and the sponsorships.

I do like Mick; it looks like he and Jess have a good time together. I think Mike was wrong for putting doubts in her head about the sex. They haven't known each other that long; even Jules and Cam have only just had sex! Mike puts far too much emphasis on sex. I don't think Heidi would see him for dust if for any reason she couldn't have/didn't want sex for a while. Friendship is a better basis than pure sexual attraction imo (not denying the importance of the latter for a successful relationship obviously).

I like Mick and Jess, they seem to bounce off each other well. I just think they look odd together, almost like father and daughter

I’m not convinced about these ixperts. Chopsing in about the positivity of the group at the start of the dinner party. For some it wasn’t about positivity, it was an escape.

Ning and Cyrell are a pair of drama llamas par excellence. They are just continually pressing their own buttons. The pair of them are ridiculously needy/confrontational.

And Ning has a face for each side.

Blinky may have been thrown in the deep end but bleating on about her predilections to the others when he supposedly cares deeply for her? Not nice. Different if she’d been part of the conversation but she wasn’t.
