Speaking of chemistry, there isn't any anymore... it's hard to portray chemistry when everyone stands two feet from each other

thenightsky · 16/12/2020 21:19

He went from sexy doctor to dirty hobo surprising quickly

I quite liked the dirty (sexy) hobo look also Blush

Peter was looking pretty damn hot on that close-up shot too.

Queenoftheashes · 16/12/2020 21:21

How does Daniel have the gall to be such a sanctimonious little prick when he was the who in the last whodunnit? Knob.

eggandonion · 16/12/2020 21:21

Smouldering from two metres. Peter can smouldering, dr Ali could. Most can't.

Queenoftheashes · 16/12/2020 21:25

Like Robert Pattinson in Twilight

excelledyourself · 16/12/2020 21:34

I always found Dr Ali to be totally unfanciable. Nice enough guy, but no.

Clawdy · 16/12/2020 22:58

Daniel sounding off to everyone - the whole situation arose because he revealed the "affair".

StillCoughingandLaughing · 17/12/2020 00:02

Is Ken’s speech odd? It seems slightly slurred. Has Bill Roache been unwell?

I think Egg is right - it’s a new set of teeth.

On another topic, I love Mary, but haven’t they made her a bit farcical now with her whole ‘Are Adam’s lovely eyes alright?’ routine?

I was amazed that Tim used to play monopoly and cluedo as a child when he apparently couldn’t read.......at least he didn’t claim to be the under 8 scrabble champion I suppose.

eggandonion · 17/12/2020 08:30

My dd2 reckons Geoff could cheat because Tim couldn't read. But although he couldn't read he had an invoice book.
Will Geoff have a funeral? Has he made a will?

Clawdy · 17/12/2020 08:47

I was waiting for Tim to produce a book and tell her it was his favourite as a child! They forget storylines so quickly!

JamieLeeCurtains · 17/12/2020 08:48

I think the invoice book dates from after Anna teaching Tim to read in one lesson but I agree that the Monopoly story is very jarring.

I've used board to help children and youngsters learn to read and become more confident, but the non-readers really struggle and it's very obvious to anyone observing.

Or is the story going to be that Geoff deliberately kept Tim illiterate? Or is that too sophisticated for current Corrie? They'll just stick with the nonsensical backstory?

JamieLeeCurtains · 17/12/2020 08:49

used board games ...

ToffeeNotCoffee · 17/12/2020 09:48

Will Geoff have a funeral? Has he made a will?

Who knows. As his legally married wife, Yazmin should inherit everything. The house, his share of Speed Daal etc. It basically re-sets Yazmin back to where she was before he came along.

Oh, and yes, Daniel can stop being a sanctimonious little prick. What happened to the prostitute he was in love with but she found him to be too much like hard work ? (No pun !)

Wasn't Daniel supposed to have Mental Health issues which brought difficulties of their own ?

Anyone remember the book he buried in Ken's back garden ? Then gave another copy of it to someone else or burned it or something ?

Who lamped Adam ? My money is on Carla. If we're playing Coronation Street Cluedo.

strugglingwithlife · 17/12/2020 10:03

I did think Faye and she thought he was Ray, but now I think it was Simon

PhoebeSnow · 17/12/2020 13:15

Definitely Simon. His useless father is back on the drink, his one of many “ mums” is a tart who slept with both of his uncles , he has just lost his sort of step brother ( although Leanne isn’t his real mother) so he is under a huge amount of stress. But it could be Gary wanted to shut Adam up.
How does Adam know about the body in the wood? Did Sarah tell him everything?

Smallsteps88 · 17/12/2020 13:19

I actually liked cardigan woman. I’d have been happy to see her stay and Daniel leave. She could work in the rovers.

excelledyourself · 17/12/2020 13:37

I thought Simon, but i don't now. I think he's bricking it because he did do the spray paint, so is worried he'll be blamed for Adam too, but isn't actually guilty of that. I thought possibly Faye, but agree that it would be ridiculous to have confused Adam for Ray, so can't see that being the case either really.

Clawdy · 17/12/2020 13:39

Simon obviously did the graffiti but not the Adam bashing. He's stressed, but not as much as if he'd nearly killed someone. Faye, on the other hand, looks very odd.

eddiemairswife · 17/12/2020 13:56

I still want to know how people know about Rick's body in the woods. Has it been dug up? And what happened about his daughter? The last I remember was that she had to leave the private school and go to Weatherfield Comprehensive, and Gary was keeping an eye on her out of guilt. So many loose ends waving about.

Smallsteps88 · 17/12/2020 14:04

Bernie and Brian went metal detecting in the woods and Bernie found ricks watch. It was inscribed with Rick and Laura’s names. She tried to sell it round the street and Sarah bought it, recognising the names. Gary was determined to get it off her so she worked out that he was trying to hide his tracks and that he had murdered Rick and buried him in the woods. Adam caught whiff of something going on between her and Gary and wanted to know what as going on. He’d been sniping and speaking to ricks ex Laura and he’d put 2 + 2 together and worked out that Gary had done something to Rick. The reason he and Sarah split up was because she wouldn’t be honest with him over what Gary had done. He knew she was keeping a secret for Gary. He doesn’t know that she was kinky keeping it because Gary knew she had killed Callum and would dob her in if she told Adam what he had done.

Smallsteps88 · 17/12/2020 14:04

Kinky???? Grin only

eddiemairswife · 17/12/2020 14:13

Thanks smallsteps.

Fuckertyfuckmcfuck · 17/12/2020 14:54

top marks to Smallsteps , I'd forgotten most of that . I think that was when the scripts started to go downhill

DahliaMacNamara · 17/12/2020 15:15

I like the notion of kinky watch-keeping. Thank God it was a typo, and I didn't have to Google it.
I think maybe it was Debbie who bashed Adam in the head. I know it makes no sense, but so what? and hear me out. She gets all masked up to buggery, creeps into the bistro and in the gloom sees a bearded bloke supping wine on his own. Okay, in broad daylight there'd be no question of mistaken identity, but there's a power cut, and what better way of cutting your flaky business partner out of a deal that's going pear-shaped mostly because of him, than stoving his pervy head in?
Deviousness is second nature to her, so she has no trouble acting all nonchalant when things go awry.
