I never thought Flavia sounded Italian (unlike Vincent). She moved to the UK at about age 4.

I just found this. It’s before V&F were pros on SCD, and they guest choreo-ed a group AT before it was a standard dance on the show. Flavia’s got a full-on English accent in this clip:

I remember Gio bring pretty difficult to understand in his first series. His English has improved incredibly since then.

I also fell down a rabbit hole of Flavia dances, just look at what she’s wearing here - and for a jive!

Imagine if the pros wore stuff like this now, they’d get so many complaints

I don't think he cheated on her. Something happened with Kristina on the tour (who dated Joe Calzaghe and is now with Ben Cohen) but that was definitely later, because his girlfriend (who he was cheating on) was pregnant.

Erin, Kristina, Aliona, Ola, Nat, - all had babies. Kristina coaches yoga and has a dance school iirc
Lilia did DWTS Ireland with Darren (I think he did a stint judging too and as stand-in) They teach as well
Kev does podcasts and will be back in musical theatre next year, him and Jo were in a show together, also teach online
James does hello column with Ola and advertises betting via twitter, they both did a fair bit of reality tv and he of course won DOI
Brendan did live tours, odd bit of telly, 2nd home in Majorca
Trent still does some choreo for Strictly
Gleb and Artem do DWTS, Gleb just split from wife, Artem just had baby with his fiancee and won glitterball on last series of US version
Tristan was a judge on Australian version, does a bit of presenting now as was contracted to the tv channel
AJ last seen on i'm a sleb, podcasts, tv stuff with brother Curtis was the plan
Pasha and Robin are dancing with Aljaz, Graz and Karim in the new year. Pash also been on sleb gogglebox and had baby with Rachel.

Obviously Covid has upset many shows and tours - probably affected Kev, Jo, Brendan the most?

Dance is a bit like sport in terms of longevity. You can’t still be going all out well into your 40s, and Strictly is pretty gruelling - obviously Anton’s clinging on like grim death, but he barely ever breaks a sweat so he doesn’t count Most of them seem to leave by mid/late-30s ish.

Then in the case of the female ex-pros, they marry a very wealthy property developer and get sprogged-up ASAP!

Thanks Mistletoe. I suppose they all hope to get to be a judge in the end - so much air time, so little work! And the branding opportunity of that is huge.

Just adding to the ex-pro round up: I think Katya Virshilas runs a clothing brand now (and has kids), and Iveta runs a dance school in New York (and recently had her second child, I think)

Here come the boys is obviously Aljaz's creation as he did it last year with gorka/gio didn't he? Good for him if so-he's a brilliant choreographer and is obviously well liked on and off the telly.

I’ve just googled that Here Comes the Boys thing. The line up changes after March then again later. Only Pasha Robin and Karim are doing the full run. Karim is hosting apparently and doing dancing too. I assume these are the tours that make the pros their money the rest of the year.

Gio is doing a solo tour April-June then mid June and July he’s doing one with Anton. I think someone mentioned previously but I
never picked up on what an odd combo that was. I cousins even see them being particularly friendly but they must be on good enough terms to do a tour together. I really want to go and see it but my DH won’t go. I might go alone

Karim is on Richard Osman's House of Games this week. He's still bloody annoying. I reckon it's maybe because he is / was a kids' TV presenter so has to be 'on' all the time.

Flavia and her husband Jimmy Mistry live near me. I’ve seem them in the local Sainsbury’s a few times. He has an enormous, bushy beard now...

Aljaz is at the garrick in here come the boys from January 27th until March when he then begins the remembering the Oscars tour. As HTCB is a 16 week show someone else will replace him in the last leg of it.

I love that Rob Rinder gave away all his prizes Mon to Wed - hope he wins and gets to keep one today. That's how you win all five shows without breeding resentment - clever boy (James Acaster was set to win all 5 but allegedly sour grapes from the others led him to throw it. Anne Diamond in particular was said to be bloomin' awful about it). I missed Tony Beak's week - shall have to catch up now.
