Thanks Id forgotten the dance, but I do remember Len telling Ricky that he could be proud of the fact that he was the best dancer in the competition... I think it must have been the year Chris and Ola won...? I also remember thinking that Natalie was more than a little bit in love with him at the time.

I don't think we will see any more sambas this year. Everybody seems to be avoiding them.

Unless they've changed the format for the final, there definitely won't be any more. There are none this week, and the usual format for the final is that, aside from the showdance, all dances are repeats of earlier dances.

Reckon HRVY and Ranvir are through on music alone. Jamie's might be prophetic and would need to do amazingly well on the public vote as he will be voted down by the judges I reckon so bottom 2 beckons unless Ranvir can't jive or Bill stuffs up hence won't you come home.

Am listening to Un Giorno Per Noi now. It is in 3/4, which makes a nice change. I really hope the sound comes across properly on Saturday. It is so lovely.

Schady Motsi does sometimes speak constructively BUT it tends to get lost in the 'timbre' of her voice on telly, and an obvious need to be kind to be liked- possibly.

Speaking of "timbre" The live music badly needs a good sound engineer , a balancer (it's a real skill) . Interestingly in the small ITT studio the music sounds much better.

I watched ITT last night as usual and a thought struck me and I decided to ask you amazing ladies who know all about the history of Strictly. What happens to Pros when they leave strictly ? Where do they work? Because lots of them come and appear on ITT I imagine that they have not flounced off - are they sacked? Does anyone know? And could you do a little "here is where they are now" about them if you do?

I see from her name that Flavia obviously married her celeb - was she married to Vincent?

Some of them just leave because other things come up. Off the top of my head:

both Joanne and Kevin Clifton left to be in musicals (I don't know if either of them were scuppered by Covid).

Artem is only on DWTS now, I think.

Karen Hardy left to focus on her dance school and a new baby, I think? (but carried on doing Choreography Corner).

Some do flounce off –I think Brendan did.

Flavia I believe married Jimi Mistry, who she was partnered with. She and Vincent were together although not married, I believe. I think he cheated on her, but my Strictlyology is a little murky about this.

Ah yes, that rings a bell. I had a feeling Vincent cheated on her as well though, or am I making that up?

Some don't have their contract renewed, some have left to do other things, some have gone to do versions in other countries. Several females have left to start families. A couple have been injured and unable to take part. I think a few of the one that have only done one series just decided it was not for them.

They were definitely engaged when they first joined the show, but I think I remember from interviews that they'd danced together from being teens (or early twenties), he was her first boyfriend etc. and it was a bit of an on-and-off relationship (albeit one that had gone on like that for years).

It's very easy to fall into going out with your dance partner!

I honestly don’t remember her ever having an Italian accent She moved to the UK when she was a pretty-schooler so only lived in Italy for a few years.

Maybe she hammed it up to add a bit of exoticism, like Gino D’Campo does

I thought she sounded quite London... I'm going to have to go and find a clip now!
