No details so far on ITT. Do far nice farewells to JJ and Amy, and the pro challenge. Now Hrvy and Janette.

Maireas · 07/12/2020 18:56

so far

TheLadyOfShallnott · 07/12/2020 18:57

Please post maireas if they give an inkling. Thank you Flowers

TheLadyOfShallnott · 07/12/2020 18:58

Ah well. 🤷‍♀️

It can be a surprise! 🤫

ApolloandDaphne · 07/12/2020 19:09

Hrvy and Janette are doing the rumba and the Charleston. Two very different dances!

Maireas · 07/12/2020 19:26

Sorry, as Apollo says. Two very different dances! They said that the rumba is very challenging.

fiftyval · 07/12/2020 19:51

I hope that when hrvy inevitably fails to turn out his permanently sickled feet that the judges take their blinkers off and dock marks for it.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 07/12/2020 20:25

Hrvy is pigeon toed so can’t actually turn his feet out properly.

NoTimeToDiet · 07/12/2020 21:32

I agree Jamie’ll probably go next week. Bill seems to have lost his way a bit, he came out storming and hasn’t really hit that point again.

I’m hoping with drag being pushed everywhere, from children’s libraries to primetime BBC slots it will stop being seen as cool or edgy or whatever people think it is and fall out of fashion. Fingers crossed!

kazzaD66 · 07/12/2020 21:33

It can be done.
Didn't Craig always go on about Harry Judd's sickled feet. He eventually corrected them and went on to win. I think Aliona was a hard taskmaster, though.

I don’t remember that.... Think it may be too late for Hrvy with the semis on Saturday Grin

Comefromaway · 07/12/2020 21:45

There is a difference between sickling & pigeon toe though.

GrouchyKiwi · 07/12/2020 21:57

Was it Ricky Whittle who looked pigeon-toed for most of his season, and he managed to correct it a lot by the final? (Which I didn't watch as I was on a plane to NZ; it's a hard life.)

Quite

kazzaD66 · 07/12/2020 22:10

Yes Grouchy Ricky Whittle was another who was always getting told off for his feet. I can't remember if he and Harry Judd were pigeon toed, sickled or what, I just know that they got a hard time for it from the judges, whereas I don't think it has been mentioned re HRVY.

GrouchyKiwi · 07/12/2020 22:12

Ricky Whittle was my gateway drug to Strictly. My former flatmate watched Hollyoaks and he was beautiful on that, so I watched SCD to see him, and he was even more beautiful in his ballroom tails, dancing with the incomparable Natalie.

ppeatfruit · 08/12/2020 09:27

I meant to say yesterday that Motsi (on R2) said that when Maisie has good feet ,she has bad arms and vice versa! I was wondering if that'll affect her this Sat.

Schady Grin Maybe it's a competition between Claud and Vicki to come up with the most tasteless dress for Tess! She does seem to have a strange idea of elegance!

I SOO agree with Sequins and others about the 'humour' of the Drag Race participants. "The blade" within it.

Isn't the pushing of it to do with the BEEB's misguided attempt at "Wokeness"

SchadenfreudePersonified · 08/12/2020 10:33

I meant to say yesterday that Motsi (on R2) said that when Maisie has good feet ,she has bad arms and vice versa!

Why does she never say this instead of "You ROCKED it!"

How can people improve if their weaknesses aren't pointed out to them?

(And I'll bet Craig has noticed it as well. And Shirley.)

MistletoeandMoccasins · 08/12/2020 11:52

Not at work today so procrastinating listening to Ken Bruce. I know Jamelia danced to Heaven must be missing an angel for movie week but I don't think anyone has danced to Independent Women from same movie or Men in Black. I have no idea what you could do to either mind. I just tried a cha cha cha and would need a blinky thing to erase it from your memory Xmas Wink Are none of you festively name changing?

Lampzade · 08/12/2020 14:30

@ikltownofboothlehem

My mum phoned me about 9am one Sunday morning & asked if I wanted her to get me a Bay City Rollers CD. When I said 'Christ, no'. She said 'but you were a fan'. Yes mum. When I was FOUR! I'm in my bloody 50s now.
Ha ha This made me chuckle
CousinKrispy · 08/12/2020 14:52

Perhaps only slightly related but I've just seen that Shirley and also previous SCD contestant will be on the celeb Great British Sewing Bee this Christmas.....I'm excited!!

CousinKrispy · 08/12/2020 14:53

I meant to include Dr Ranj's name in that...

FuzzyPuffling · 08/12/2020 15:29

Are none of you festively name changing?

No, I'm afraid not, not me.

  1. to what? (FuzzyPudding? Little Baby Jesus? LazyChristmasCow?)
  2. It would be two minutes of my life not well spent.

I wish I cared but I don't!

I have. It's not a terribly interesting name change but at least I'm being honest for Christmas Grin
