Sorry, that sounds wrong... I meant a definite NO to getting rid of Craig. He has an informed opinion, critiques the technicalities and isn’t afraid to say what he thinks.

Agree Bluffin, I’d happily change any of the other judges but would be very disappointed if Craig left. He’s the only one who seems to say anything useful and his scores really mean something.

Loved seeing Flavia dance upthread, I miss her on the show.

Dump Tess - she's dreadful.

Keep Craig and let him release his acerbic comments in their full glory once again! He's the only one who misgiving constructive criticism - they need to listen to what they're doing wrong, not just bask in the smugness of "ROCKIN' IT!" and "OWNIN' IT!" and "being very good for an older woman".

Shirley does give constructive criticism too though - she can be good at explaining the ballroom technicalities for how they should be placing their feet etc.

The best advice they get though is from Ian Waite on ITT - with his diagrams showing what they need to improve. I hope they all watch him!

I'm obviously the only person who quite likes Tess - think she and Claudia are right together for the programme.

I think Claudia is terrible. She always looks awful, either exhausted or strung out. She doesn't engage particularly well with the celebs, it's the same old thing every time. Perhaps Ian Waite who knows about dance and has a sense of humour?
Tess is ok, just a bit predictable.

Tess is almost as bad as Gregggg Wallace (thread crossover point!). We mute both of them. One of the few good things about this year is that Tess is prevented from groping the contestants and patting their arms while saying “awww your ickle face”. Another good thing is the absence of a relatively small person, so we haven’t heard “ooh, the pocket rockets” this season. But the “look they’re on their feet” has come out after Every. Single. Dance. (Rant. I really can’t stand Tess.)

I’ve got mixed feelings about Claudia. She’s very likeable in some ways - imho anyway - but nowhere near as funny/witty as she’s cracked up to be- and clearly thinks she is. She only has to open her mouth and look sideways from underneath her fringe and everyone falls about laughing. Ffs.

I’m sure Tess is nice enough irl and she obviously looks the part, but her delivery is so stilted and awkward I find myself on tenterhooks watching her and waiting for the next cringeworthy moment, which is never far away, unfortunately.

About time the Beeb had a cull across the board and let some fresh faces have a go and also reduce their astronomic salaries for the newcomers

I like Claudia a lot and I don’t mind Tess.

I have no big beef with Tess or Claude but I often have to watch this from a recording and so have a rather over developed fast forward finger. I’m sure they’re lovely but it is tired.

I would love to see 4 judges back.

Arlene, Shirley, Craig and Len ideally.

But would be happy for Iain Waite or James Jordan. Or Brendan. Just to see Shorl’s face.

I’m gutted beyond gutted that I am working for the final. But I’m ‘live’ tonight - dramas permitting.

I actually much prefer ITT to the Strictly show - I mean, I love the dances, but skip through all the rest. But I watch ITT every evening and love it all - I love all the presenters, and Ian, and Vicki, - I miss it way more than Strictly when it is over. Perhaps they could do a version for January and February just to get us through the miserable months.

I've said it before about Claudia on £500k, Zoe Ball and Tess also on very high salaries.
I can't see the justification from the licence payers' point of view. Anyway.
Some new talent would be nice.

They are high salaries but they’re not just for Strictly, it’s for anything they do for BBC so any other tv or radio they do as well as Strictly.

billysboy If the Beeb DID have a cull, the 'new faces' wouldn't be new they'd be crossovers from the Voice or wherever and would probably cost more.

The whole philosophy of the show is IMO to keep it at the top of the ratings, therefore going for very well known faces and buckets of Special Effects. To appeal to EVERYBODY!!!!!!

I agree about ITT. I enjoy it, the costumes, behind the scenes, the interviews. I think Rylan does a good job, he's engaging but not over the top. I enjoy Ian Waite and the pros demonstrations. They explain the dance steps well for folks with no knowledge!

Yes I like ITT too.

I could do without all the VTs & wheeling out parents/gran & grandad/siblings/pets/going to their old school. It'd shorten the show too so 'Sunday' could be on Saturday by 9pm at the latest.

I am not suggesting throwing the whole lot out but for eg Tess went and they introduced a newbie there that would keep it fresh as well as cut a salary
Radio 2 cut Steve wright out and all his sycophants and put a newbie in

If this was replicated across the beeb it would keep the same them but would save loads as well as cutting out some dead wood !

I like the results show on Sunday. Sunday evening would feel a bit flat without the results to look forward to.

@billysboy - I get what you mean but I suppose they're worried about losing viewers & listeners by bringing in newbies or lesser known people to present. Which shouldn't be an excuse though. A change is as good as a rest & all that just not Karim.

I would keep Tess all day long over Karim !
