Octo is back here now. She had a lovely time with Maireas (and she says thank you very much for the booze, cake and fishy stuff). She's having a snooze in her tank now, preparing all her predictive powers for tomorrow.

She just left, leaving the Lamb's Navy Rum empties, oyster shells and a well thumbed copy of Fisherman's Weekly.

Oh, Lady B'Stard Puffer Fish is welcome chez moi. I can easily provide black coffee and Tia Maria. I don't mind if it states the obvious. My husband does that anyway.

The 🐙 came to Maireas Towers by train. I picked her up and she enjoyed the ride to my house. She had eight rum n blacks and a shepherd's pie. She then predicted the winner of Mastermind. Now? Fuzzy says she's back at hers!

That sounds about right.

But only 8 run 'n' blacks? Obviously still feeling fragile ('the hair of the cephalopod")

I’m sure he’ll turn up sooner or later. If you have a posh sofa, I would suggest a well loved cushion or pillow to be put down as the spines will play havoc with posh stuff.

He isn’t fond of Tess and is prone to a tiny outburst on that subject now and again.

And he can do swears. But when he is about to do that he swells to the size of a football. Plenty of time to get anyone of a delicate disposition out of the room.

Apart from that? Almost perfect houseguest.

You won’t know he’s there. He doesn’t predict anything either. He will, however, state the obvious.
