Eastenders spoiler thread 2 -- the best Christmas Walford's ever had!

This thread is for Eastenders spoilers, speculation and a little bit of pisstaking. If you don't like spoilers, turn back now!

Following on from the last thread:

-- Ian is being horrible to everyone, and is set to be attacked, leading to a whodunnit. Place your bets now. Adam Woodyatt will be on stage for six months, so it's set to be a long absence
-- Kush is leaving and we're going to miss him
-- Max is leaving and we're all secretly expressing our embarassing crushes on him
-- There's a 55 minute Xmas special, post-watershed with 'dark scenes' and probably Lucas's return
-- Everyone is going to have the happiest Christmas ever and it'll all end with them singing carols around the fireplace. Or not.

I think Sharon too , but Tina and Max are going out of it so must be something to do with them?

Rafflesway · 09/12/2020 15:41

Yes , the "Leavers" are normally a dead giveaway! ☹️

FWIW, my money's on Sharon too!

kwiksavenofrillsusername · 09/12/2020 18:12

I'm starting to think Sharon, either in cahoots with Phil or Ben, as they secretly know about Denny and are avenging his death.

She came down, looked a little shocked, but then just stood there saying 'he doesn't have a pulse'. Wasn't trying to do CPR or anything. Maybe she should marry and dump him on NYE, like the Millenium episode!

Ian hasn't been good to his women! Jane was loyal to him but he treated her badly.
Laura he abused. Mel he lied to.
Cindy was horrible to him , but I can see why she strayed!
I can't remember the others , but I think I've missed out a few?
Checkered past.

Meredusoleil · 10/12/2020 20:19

What the hell?!?

Sharon, Ian and Bobby 😳

willsantausesantatize · 10/12/2020 20:21

Weird wasn't it? What is going on?

kwiksavenofrillsusername · 10/12/2020 23:53

Nah, I don't think it is Bobby. I think him blurting that out is part of his illness. Or he walloped Ian and feels guilty but didn't carry out the big hit.

I wonder if Ian is playing Sharon, or Sharon is playing Ian... should be interesting. So this is his sixth marriage? Ian is the Henry VIII of the square.

I think Ian is genuine about Sharon. He also still feels guilty about Denny, so wants to make sure Albie is looked after financially.

Was that Sharon and Phil's divorce over then? Phil looked like he was going to a funeral rather than court in that suit! Surely divorces aren't granted on the spot these days are they?

Ian seems to have totally forgotten about his actual sons in all of this mess 🙄

willsantausesantatize · 11/12/2020 06:47

Ritchie is now a divorce lawyer as well as a criminal one? She must be one of the richest lawyers in London! Lol

All the lawyers in EE deal with all types of law and cases, didn't you know 😁😜😐
kwiksavenofrillsusername · 11/12/2020 16:42

Every professional on the square is an expert in all areas of their job. Coppers and detectives investigate everything from fraud to break ins and murders. Nurses don't just specialise in one area. Sonia deals with everything from mental health to heart attacks. If you're a lawyer, you'll be doing a murder trial one day and helping with a business deal the next.

I like Phil's brief though. Love her suits and sharp haircut. I might retrain as a lawyer so I can pull off that look.

I was thinking the same about Richie's dress sense. I really like it!
willsantausesantatize · 11/12/2020 17:27

I like Ritchie: ballsy , lovely clothes and hair. That gravel , no nonsense voice. Tells Phil his fortune without being intimidated by his bully boy tactics! I'd like her to do more on the square.
Maybe she can sort out Ian's affairs if he does die?

Meredusoleil · 11/12/2020 18:08

Just seen EE will be on an hour later tonight due to BB1 showing the Barbara Windsor biopic before 👍

mothtoaflame · 11/12/2020 20:54

Have they decided not to show it at all tonight? Looks like Barbara Windsor show is still on.

willsantausesantatize · 11/12/2020 20:57

9.05 tonight.

Meredusoleil · 11/12/2020 21:32

Peter and Kheerat. Well who would have thought it 😯

willsantausesantatize · 11/12/2020 21:42

Hmm, but is it a red herring?
Seems a bit random.

Richie should have a spin off where she defends the gangsters of the east end. I could totally see that being a show. She'd have a complex backstory and be a tough single mum or something. Right I'm off to pitch this to the BBC.

I don't think Ian dies though. The actor is just taking a long sabbatical to be on stage.

There was a scene this week where Richie was talking to Phil and giving him some advice about “the next Mrs Mitchell”. Immediately after which, Kat walks in. Foreshadowing? I actually think they might be a good match.

Hodeho · 12/12/2020 06:13

Like the way Kat and Phil shout insults to each other and Kat doesn't try to please him thank goodness, he doesn't deserve it being a bad tempered bully. I love the scenes with them both- there's something there, not sure it's sexual chemistry tho!
What if Phil got the Vic back with Kat behind the bar again🤯

willsantausesantatize · 12/12/2020 10:28

A Ritchie spin off series would be fun.

' Ritchie is a very successful East end criminal lawyer with tons of money and a flash car but her roots are much more humble and she gets mixed up with criminals nicknamed the ' new Krays' on the block. ( could be her cousins?)
She couldn't get them off the charges for drug running or fraud and is now forever looking over her shoulder pads as they seek revenge for her involvement in having them put in prison? Is her life in danger or can her old friend Phil Mitchell from Walford help her out ? .. duf duf duf

Yes I spotted that. I was saying about a month ago on the no spoilers thread that I think this is definitely on the cards. Surprised I didn't see the potential there before. Think it's a good pairing which would be interesting.
kwiksavenofrillsusername · 12/12/2020 21:30

I agree, they don't have much chemistry, but I think that's because of the social distancing in filming. Some of the acting has been a little off. As soon as she nicked his football shirt, I suspected it.

Kat has always gone for the gangstaaaa types. She almost married Andy, dated Derek, I think she even shagged Steve at one point? Phil seems to have a thing for slightly rough East End ladies like Sharon, Shirley and Rainie, plus there's the Mitchells vs Slaters feud, which makes them a middle-aged Romeo and Juliet.

Is anyone else thinking it's all a bit weird like Ian is going to be dreaming some of it? I'm finding some bits hard to follow but not sure if I'm just half watching it/not paying enough attention
