Eastenders spoiler thread 2 -- the best Christmas Walford's ever had!

This thread is for Eastenders spoilers, speculation and a little bit of pisstaking. If you don't like spoilers, turn back now!

Following on from the last thread:

-- Ian is being horrible to everyone, and is set to be attacked, leading to a whodunnit. Place your bets now. Adam Woodyatt will be on stage for six months, so it's set to be a long absence
-- Kush is leaving and we're going to miss him
-- Max is leaving and we're all secretly expressing our embarassing crushes on him
-- There's a 55 minute Xmas special, post-watershed with 'dark scenes' and probably Lucas's return
-- Everyone is going to have the happiest Christmas ever and it'll all end with them singing carols around the fireplace. Or not.

What was the last thing Ian said at the end of tonight's episode? I didn't quire catch it.

I hate Suki too. I actually wonder if it was down to her that her husband is in prison. Just like it was dien to her that her son Jags is serving time too 🤔

I like the new Stuart but not the new Mick. Why has Linda not tried to ask him wtf is going on with him? No-one is standing up to Mick or trying to find out what's wrong. So no wonder he feels isolated from his family ffs!

And although what he said to Tina the other night was quite hurtful, it was all true tbf!

I just wish Katy would go away and leave him alone like Frankie has. Such a lying, manipulating abuser that she is 😬

vjscec · 07/12/2020 21:33

Ian said it was Tina coz she apparently attacked him at the house. So god knows how he ended up at the vic. A bit like when Lucy ended up on walford common after Bobby bashed her head in in the house. I tried to start a thread about corra earlier coz that was really good tonight but nobody has joined! Haha!

Meredusoleil · 07/12/2020 21:58

I wonder if there were several people involved in Ian's atrack? Maybe not acting together but separately? I can see both Sharon and Ben working together somehow. Suki and Kheerat obviously. Maybe Stuart and Tina or Raine? Also Bobby and Peter. I wish they would both go away. Can't see how either of them add anything to the show.

And how is it that everytime someone is injured and ends up at Walford General, it's always Ash that deals with them?!? Like there are no other doctors there ever. Kys why were none of the visitors wearing masks ffs.

I must say, I love Kim's character and gave missed her all this time. But that exchange she had with Stuart tonight was just weird. I didn't even think she knew who he was, as she'd been away that long 🤦🏻‍♀️

vjscec · 07/12/2020 22:56

It’s the same on all the soaps. Like it’s always the same copper 😂

vjscec · 07/12/2020 22:57

And omg kheerat is just lush!! ❤️

Hodeho · 08/12/2020 06:35

meredusoleil I was thinking that too, that more than one character's involved in Ian's attack.
Isn't there an Agatha Christie book where it turns out to be all of them wotdunnit, Murder on the Orient Express?
After not watching for a few months, I'm enjoying getting back into it.

Jack deals with all the crime in the square. They were even asking him about surrogacy laws the other day and he instantly knew about them! Didn't realise that was part of police training.

Ian apparently gets attacked again on xmas eve, so more of this revenge storyline apparently.

Here's some more spoilers: www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eastenders/g34885693/eastenders-spoiler-pictures-christmas-2020/

Honey and Jay kissing - zzzz
Max asks Linda to leave with him
More Stacey and Martin stuff
Mick and his face of depression

I cant understand the money thing. Ian transferred it to Max so he could try to blackmail him but Linda knows all about it so surely Max could just give Linda the money? Ok there is a digital trail of it going from the foundation to Max, but apart from that I can't see what Linda doesn't have the money.

CharityDingle · 08/12/2020 08:47

@SnowBrussels

I wonder how Shirley will take it if Phil gets together with Kat? I’m convinced she still has a soft spot for him.
I'm out of touch, but yes, absolutely. I think that will always be the case, regardless of their history. She will always care about what happens to Phil.

Last time I was watching, I think Kat was with Kush. I don't think they were a good match. Of course that doesn't matter in soap. Grin

vjscec · 08/12/2020 09:06

Haha! I know! Him and halfwit. Completely different ranks too 😂

vjscec · 08/12/2020 09:08

Lol at micks face 😂he needs to take it for a s**t like 🙄

vjscec · 08/12/2020 09:11

It’s mental the way they all just swap. Imagine in real life when you’ve been in a proper serious long term relationship and then next week they’re with someone else over the street. Denise and Kush/ Denise and jack/ kat and Kush. Phil and half the square. Eeh remember when he had that fling with dawn. Not my cup of tea like 😂

kwiksavenofrillsusername · 08/12/2020 09:57

I actually wondered if Danny Dyer has had some sort of botox or surgery. His face looks different. But he might just be 'acting'.

He trained in Sun Hill, except he was Phil back then, in The Bill. I bet that was where he learned everything. Grin

willsantausesantatize · 08/12/2020 11:03

Didn't someone else give Max an alibi once for something? It reminded me of it when Linda told Jack about his brother being with her.
Jack and Callum and the horrible detective are the only ones that work at Walford Nick lately. Same with Ash being in the hospital!

CharityDingle · 08/12/2020 11:06

@BlueDaysTillChristmas

Ok. It’s that time of the year to start watching again so I know what’s what in time for the Christmas shitshow.

rubs sweaty palms on thighs repeatedly

Unfortunately I haven’t seen it since the boat sank. I know Denny died, other baby was born, I know about Mick and his care worker (but I don’t know how that ended, he possibly has a daughter???), I know no-one has twigged it was Ian and I know Ben is/was deaf. Anything else major I need to catch up on?

Same here. I think that was the last episode I watched properly, the boat one. I do like to watch around Christmas though, for maximum walford heartache. Nobody ever gets to eat their turkey and ham. No time, with secrets to be revealed, crying to be done, cups and glasses to be smashed. Can't wait. Grin
MyfanwyMontez · 08/12/2020 11:39

@hodeho
@meredusoleil
I said exactly the same to DH last that I bet it will be like Murder On The Orient Express!

willsantausesantatize · 08/12/2020 13:43

I think that the whole Katy thing will come out at Christmas plus who tried to kill Ian : I have a feeling he'll live though and be ok.
It'll be the usual EE misery fest whatever happens. I did hear that Lucas is coming back.. a late night one is being aired. More angst.

kwiksavenofrillsusername · 08/12/2020 19:23

If the stuff about Katy comes out on Xmas day, that will be so bloody grim. I like depressing Xmas EE, but prefer stuff like the Max and Stacey affair or Sharon and Dennis being outed as sort of incestuous shaggers. I hate storylines about domestic or sexual violence over xmas.

People always forget that New Year EE is sometimes even more grim! You start the year off with sisters falling off a building, sisters drowning, or baby swaps, and it's like, where do you go from there?

OP posts:
vjscec · 08/12/2020 19:52

Christ aye I forgot about them 2 falling off the roof. Certainly didn’t mind though! Lol!

Meredusoleil · 08/12/2020 20:33

Wtf was tonight's episode all about?!? I think Sharon is acting very suspiciously indeed. I wonder if loads of people had a pop at Ian but she was the one to deal the fatal blow. Although I don't think he will actually die.

CharityDingle · 09/12/2020 11:41

I'm going to start watching this week so that I will be sort of up to speed for the Christmas misery.

willsantausesantatize · 09/12/2020 12:11

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without EE misery. They abuse the privilege! ( I'll still tune in though)
crochetmonkey74 · 09/12/2020 15:27

My theory is that Sharon is responsible for Ian's injuries
