Ranvirs' name means "brave in battle" ( if correctly pronounced) and she is certainly that.

Hate couple's choice with a vengeance. Always results in someone more talented going home over someone enthusiastic and I hope it isn't Clara.

I thought Maisie wasn't particularly inspiring this week, but I'm sure she'll stay. Ranvir and Gio are such a great partnership. Imagine if Clara had got him!

You're right @covetingthepreciousthings He did that solo spin and left Laura standing on her own. She was friends with his ex I think. Saying that I think Ashley Roberts was too . Think he had Debbie the following year.

Am I correct in saying that Jamie now has a 10 and Maisie does not? How is that even possible?

I didn't think I'd like Jamie (didn't he say early on that he was a bit disappointed not to have been paired with Oti again?) but I have warmed to him since the Hercules routine. He and Karen are a great partnership.

I enjoy watching Bill more than I thought I would and he is far better than I expected. I am also surprised by Harvey's ability, his jive in week 1 was a real shock.

I love Amy, but I think her and JJ might be in trouble this week. Haven't warmed to Caroline at all.

Love the Ranvir/Gio partnership, but then I am a little bit in love with Gio.

Clara wasn't great this week, but Samba is a dance that lots of people have gone out on in past years, I hope it isn't the case for her and Alijaz this week. Love Maisie. Is that everyone?

Maisie is technically very good, but Jamie is tremendously entertaining. He gave that dance his all! It just feels a bit automatic with Maisie, although she did loosen up tonight. I thought the hair and costumes on Janette, Oti and Ranvir were gorgeous tonight.

I think I meant on the screen, during the dances. Laura did bemoan the fact she was partnered with him and I also think Michelle Visage was a challenge behind the scenes but he always turns it on for the camera.

He was absolutely gorgeous with Debbie McGee he showed her so much respect.

I'd like to see Caroline leave. Not gonna happen though.

I loved their partnership, I think it brought out a different side to him. I was always concerned for her when they got high scores though as he used to grab her and shake her so vigorously

Caroline's legs may have been dancing the steps, but she deserved to lose points for all that horrendous overacting and the lick! I cant imagine Johannes choreographed that into the routine

I hated Caroline's dance, I thought I would really like her but she is annoying me and I thought the Carry On Strictly routine was rubbish.

I also can't warm to Maisie, I am sure it's because she's so used to being in the public eye but she is one of those who if she was made of chocolate, she would eat herself. Terrific dancer though, she didn't deserve to be in the dance off last week.

I vote for anyone who I want to see dance next week who’s in danger of going home - all the other people who I want to keep are either definitively safe or will win a dance-off against any plausible opposition. And I’m slightly ashamed to admit that I will always vote for whoever’s dancing with Aljaz up until the point where it become completely unjustifiable.

After 16 years of resistance DH is getting drawn in to Strictly, and he informed me that Ranvir is not as married as I thought. For some reason I thought she was a paragon of domestic bliss and Giovanni had a random dancer girlfriend. Now I’ve belatedly learned they’re both single it puts an entirely different complexion on the matter.

I forgot the voting would be closed already! I wanted to vote x 3 for Clara, I think she's been treated really unfairly all the way along with crap outfits/makeup/music choices and voting. She's got fantastic musicality and l love watching her.

I didn't enjoy any of the dances much this week, the lighting schemes made it hard to see the dancers properly. Also, there's usually an atmosphere at this stage in the comp, probably a combination of tiredness and nervousness and it's been exacerbated the effect of the covid restrictions on the show.

I also love Joe/Gio but my love is pure unlike you grubby lot.

The music was so off this week, perhaps it sounds wonderful in situ? Did I read one year a MNetter attended and said that, or perhaps it was BGT 🤷‍♀️

We went to a concert last year with a load of performers and NVWLS was one of them. It's so funny that you call him that here, when his name appeared in lights above him my little girl aged 8 leaned over and said to me "mummy, where are his vowels?".

I love Clara but can't understand how this weekend's theme let fly.

What almost makes me turn it off, more so this year, is Tess Daly. Disingenuous, stilted, poorly prepared, irritating...she just seems awful and I am aware that could be me being very mean but I cannot shake that feeling. I get the impression that as soon as the camera isn't on her, the smile she has drops right off her face.

Yes Tess has been quite poor this year. She seems awkward and unrehearsed which is a wierd impression as I'm sure she's neither. Does she have another job that I'm not aware of?

Re Giovanni, him dancing with Debbie made me go from thinking he was a bit of a dick to warming to him a lot. He's a good chap.

Caroline can't go soon enough for me, I was gobsmacked by the comments and the marks, no hip action and the gurning . I met her at a party many moons ago and she's ... Unfair to slag her off, suffice to say that I did not warm to her even a little b bit.

I thought Clara was undermarked. Far from perfect but better than Caroline's Carry On cha cha.

Absolute shit show tonight. How different from last week, when we had great dances with authentic music.

Clara has absolutely been stitched up, IMO. Awful routine to awful music with awful costume and everyone hates the Samba.

How come Jamie and Karen seem to do exactly the same dance each week? Fucking street commercial. My arse.

The scoring was RISIBLE! Especially Shirley.She thinks she is the star of the show and is so judgmental to the young women dancers.

If Clara is in the dance off then she is toast. In my view, JJ, Caroline and Jamie are all worse dancers than her.

Is it my imagination or certain dancers are being allowed to swerve ballroom (cough Jamie). I am baffled why he seems to be getting a free pass.

Damn, I had such hope after last week.
