Sorry but janette and will’s was just as bad as the other rubbish routines. The sentiment and story behind it was lovely. But the actual dance was really crap, technically. The only person who has ever done a decent one was Caroline Flack. Otherwise they just look like something two angsty pre-teens have made up in their bedroom to showcase in assembly about bullying.

I can’t remember CC before about 2017... not before Karen and Chucky Venn in fact.

One of the main problems I have with the CC is the amount of bare feet on show . I just feel that there's more of a chance of an outbreak of verrucas happening on the show than covid 19.

I’m not a fan generally if the Couple’s Choice either - I think it should be left at least to the second half of the series. And preferably the wafty, emotionally-manipulative version canned altogether.

As for this week - I do think it could be curtains for Caroline. I wouldn’t assume Maisie is safe yet either.

i think I am alone here in hoping Jamie goes out. Do not enjoy him. I just know the couples choice is going to be all about costumes and posing and gurning, no actual dancing.

No I don't rate Jamie either. Caroline can go as well.

I'd like Caroline to go this weekend and Jamie the week after. JJ isn't terribly good but he and Amy are obviously getting significant votes to survive from the bottom score. I like Amy better this year - I found her annoying with Karim last year.

Clara and Aljaž are my favourites at the moment purely for the amount of joy they emote plus Aljaž's cuteness! But I'm looking forward to seeing Ranvir and Giovanni's Argentine Tango. I think it could be a big scorer.

I also suspect Jamie is slightly the better dancer, just because he's so bouncy and uninhibited. You don't have to ask him twice to shake his bum, I'll bet.

Yes, Nicola was on ITT yesterday, saying they would be back dancing, though not in the competition.

I much prefer Jamie over JJ or Caroline, I would rather they left before he did.
I also do not get the love for Johannes...or maybe it is just his partnership with Caroline? though still was not bothered when he was with Catherine.

I don't get why everyone on Strictly forgets how badly injured JJ was (and is still recovering) There seems to be no allowance made for him. Amy is probably one of the worst at treating him as if he was uninjured. But I just feel uncomfortable when watching him.

I know he must have decided to appear on it,.So only has himself to blame.

Remember when we were outraged at Craig criticising Jonnie Peacock for sticking his bum out? The he said in his leaving speech that he was glad they judged him the same as everyone else.

Yes true Red I wonder if the dancing helps or hinders his recovery? If it was done gently it might help I suppose (i speak as an ex keep fit\dance teacher).

I have been watching DWTS. Delighted for Artem - his first final. Good stuff.
I wasn't that shocked tbf - Nev has been consistent throughout, Artem has the Bella twins fanbase and Kaitlyn seems popular enough, you called Justina correctly early on.
Johnny has not had the popularity Adam had and he had a new pro. I love his skating but his dancing always seemed a bit too placed (like Caroline's on SCD) - very much finished off hands.
Skai was good but I didn't see that much of her personality (I wasn#t watching full episodes so that might be unfair).
The only shock, then, being Nelly but a) he is a big name b) he has had a journey of sorts and the Americans also like an underdog.

I would love Artem to win because he has had such an awkward time of it on DWTS (apart from meeting his future partner of course) but Justina exudes joy and Nev has been a revelation.

I also liked the music Nev and Jenna had for contempowaft (yep, school assembly contempowaft but Jenna always looks beautiful doing it. Her routine with Adam, based on his skating routine, was sublime). I don't mind a bit of contempowaft actually - the French did some really good ones on DALS and I adored Ashley's showdance. Derek also choreoed lovely routines for Bindi.

Oh and I thought Nicola and Katya are going to perform a new dance - so their American smooth they would have done last Saturday? to Stand by Me? Nicola was really enjoying it, shows a different side, nice lyrics/mood given the Covid and the Greatest Dancer winners Michael and Jowita will probably be doing Latin I'dve thought (was their prize to perform in the final? I have forgotten if it was then or on a results show. I wonder how they will organise it given Covid. A private pre-filmed section?)
For those who did not see TGD they were awesome and brought Oti her second win on that too. (Oti was so funny - Jowita hurt herself and Oti was You're not bleeding? Ok, good, let's go again! )
