I'm a bit worried we'll run out the other thread tonight, and it'll be too fast-paced for me to get a new one going during the show, so I'm getting prepared early!

I agreed with Shirley tonight. Max should not have gone, he danced beautifully. Maisie's dance was ridiculous.

Ah well I am unashamedly team Bill - and ( given my age) when Shirley talked about "the younger ones" - I thought he ( BB) was quietly funny when he said yes he was very old ( I'm a few months older than he ) I do think Clara is fantastic. I 'm not normally a fan of Jamie but I had to admit he gave it a bloody good go.

I don't think that's very nice. He worked hard and made the most of his opportunities.

Maisie might get a DO bounce back next week. Surely next week may be JJ or Caroline in DO? I like JJ but he's not that great a dancer. Caroline''s been surprisingly boring and I thought she'd be more entertaining. I don't think Johannes is enjoying their partnership much.

Think Gio and Ranvir might get high marks for the AT next week and be safer from the DO.

Nah I think she was being blatantly sarcastic! She called him mate. She's 13 years older than him with a child. I can't play it back but I think Gio looked a bit pissed off at the comment , because he knows the press will deliberately misconstrue.

But the fact that we are talking about the obvious chemistry between ranvir and
Gio. As opposed to the opposite of Johannes and Caroline. Which IMO is very much the opposite

Yeah we’ve seen this happen before, where someone really good is in the DO in the first few weeks cos everyone thinks they’re safe, so they don’t get enough votes. It can sometimes do them a huge favour cos then people always make sure to vote for them going forward.

I can't stand the military boy. It's been rammed down our throats every sodding week. Explosion, army, mission, dressed up. Ffs just fucking shut up about it for two bloody minutes.
I think he is really insincere.

I am surprised both max and Maisie in DO.

I think Max's problem was that his personality came across as dull as ditchwater. I preferred his dance to Maisie's this week, although she has more potential overall.

Maisie escaped the boot by the skin of her teeth there, I thought Anton would save Max and it looked pretty close. She's going to have to up her game next week, and I suspect will.

Caroline may struggle with the cha cha cha next week, and JJ can't get by on his past forever.

@horehound I was afraid to say that but am glad you said it for me! I find JJ really sleepy and low energy for a soldier. Not sure if it is to do with his injury.

Why did Maisie and G look so miserable? Do they not get on? Am I missing something as usual ?

I have family who serve and to be fair it's everyone else, the media, telly, that sentimentalises being in the the military. No decent soldier would ever think of themselves, or call themselves a hero, they hate all that stuff.

And I also kind of get the feeling that he thinks because he's on strictly he basically has a ticket to try and get it on with Amy.

I dunno, just get a bad vibe from him.

He looks a bit bewildered at times. I thought it was maybe because he's short sighted and not wearing his glasses.

I agree - and for once I would have agreed with Shirley - I think his dance was much better.

I think it was a shame that a very good dancer and a reasonable (though boring) but better-on-the-night dancer ended up in the DO.

And I still love Dianne's hair! Jessica Rabbit (I know a Jessica Abbott, as it happens ) eat your heart out!
