I've just caught up on Strictly and this thread (by god it moves quick). The telebox signal was off last night so thank god for BFBS 24. Hopefully signal will remain good for tonight - the weather's making it a bit shaky...
Anyhoo, thoughts on last night:
NVWLS: JNTT was a blur, I find HRVY annoying good, although I agree with Craig entirely his hip swivels were good but between moves there was none.
Ranvir: I didn’t like it, I found it stilted and there was no hips, not enough straight leg so seemed a bit wooden. Which is a shame because I like Ranvir so much. This just wasn’t her dance.
Max: I wish they wouldn’t do AS so early. He’s just not accomplished enough to provide the magic for this dance. It was fine, but very pedestrian.
JJ: Didn’t see any of that, I cried through it all. I have a soft spot for the Marine.
Maisie: First time I’ve watched her and really warmed to her. I though she did the doll character bit at the beginning well and she can move her hips. I enjoyed watching that. Gorka’s shorts and socks were entirely off-putting though.
Bill : I don’t love that style of dancing, but I have to hand it to Bill, he looked entirely comfortable throughout that and I totally appreciate the work and level of difficulty in that. At the end when Oti put the shades on I thought she looked utterly gorgeous. I have a girl crush.
Mrs Farmer: I so wanted to like CQ, but to be honest I find her a bit boring and the dance was very meh. I feel bad saying that. She looked so uncomfortable throughout the judging. I believe she is the consummate professional Actor. She need to let her hair down and let us revel in the joy of who she is.
BVB: In comparison to JJ I laughed all the way through this one. I was properly surprised at how well he did it and so was he it would seem! The choreo was inspired.
Clara: She looked gorgeous and she gave that her all. What a mover, amazing legs. Her personality shone through that. Clara is favourite in this competition, she can dance, she is having a jourrrrney and she comes over as a throughly lovely person. I really get her through her dances. Kudos to Aljaz for showing off Clara at her very best.
I though Tony Beak did really well in the judges seat, he warmed up well and some of the feedback was useful. Also think he channelling his inner Len.
Claudia’s head in the balls was a divine moment. She is such a natural on live TV. Polar opposite to Tess who acts like an apprentice despite being on the show for 16 years.
