Jane It was a very strange thing- he was in year 6, and there was an exchange with a school in Nanjing, so their class went. it was very heavily subsidised (or he wouldn't have gone). I think the whole thing was really just so the head teacher could scout out a new job- he left at the end of the year to go and teach in Shang hai (where they also spent a few days).
I went to the Isle of Man (hated it).
