I have been watching this in fits and starts- I would love Sascha to win, but it is not looking likely, is it- though he might sneak a set . Maybe.

I didn't see anything this afternoon, was out doing the food shop. It took me loads longer than I thought - I always start off quite enthusiastically and then it wears off after about 10 minutes and I can't decide on what to get and it takes me forever! Argh!

Anyway. I thought Novak would probably have won today, but thought it would have been closer than that.

The semis should be good though...

I am not sure whether to watch or not (Extra Slice is on) - the thing is, I like Daniil and Diego, but it is a bit of a pointless match, and although Rublev played well in his dead rubber, I got the feeling Dom wasn't really giving it his all. Which is understandable.

I wasn't paying attention really to this afternoon's match (I went to my mother's, to drop off some some shopping, and got involved in putting up Christmas decorations ).

Christmas decorations eh - I'm tempted to put ours up soon (including the glittery tennis ball, ofc ). Quite a few houses round here have got outdoor lights up already.

I might look in on tonight's match - or I might not ...

I like both players as well Raahh but I think Extra Slice will win out tonight

Christmas decorations

I usually put my tree up the first weekend of December (or closest to it) - so it will probably go up next weekend.

We don't have things outside/around the house- but so many of the houses around us have really gone to town with the decorations this year.

DD2 had her eye on a Dinosaur Christmas bauble when we were in Jl this other week. I could not justify spending £12 on a bauble. .

We have a real tree so if we put it up now it probably won’t survive beyond mid December

I‘ve ordered a few decs from JL - I picked them up today - the click and collect was a poor man with a wooden desk and a visor practically in the open air - I felt a bit sorry for him - it was raining as well

Oh poor guy that doesn't sound much fun in the rain!

Good work with the decs Fizzy. Yes we get a real tree as well, so definitely won't get that yet (they had them at the supermarket today - didn't see any takers though!) - maybe just a few lights etc - for now...

Am watching the tennis - the pre-match chat has made me interested... am so easily swayed

DD2 wanted to watch Extra Slice -and since I will be hogging the tv over the weekend with tennis, I felt it would only be fair.

Keeping an eye on the scores though.

It's been good so far, good long rallies. Medvedev especially has played some great shots.

And guess what, they showed an interesting stat

I know it probably won't happen, but I want it to.

I don't want a Rafa/Djok final though. Not indoors. Would be nice if it was a repeat of RG- but it probably wouldn't be.

I know, that's what I keep thinking as well - I think he's probably been the best player so far but I want Rafa to win it as well!

If Rafa had already won it, I wouldn't actually mind Daniil winning- I really like him. But time is not on Rafa's side.

The problem is- Thiem is playing pretty well too (apart his lacklustre performance against Rublev- I'm no sure what was going on there). So if Dom beats Djok- Rafa has to beat Dom- which he should have done the other day. Maybe he will if he plays him again, having warmed up a bit.

Quite a turnaround for Medvedev- 3 losses last year, 3 wins this year.

Yes I’m fighting my tennis watching battles although DH is muttering something about rugby tomorrow afternoon
