Old thread full, so here we go again.

Going back to the last point on the old thread, I agree that they’re writing well for Tracy now. She’s still got her hard side, but they’ve made her caring in a straight talking way, rather than just a full-on bitch.

They could go to his mums. She's in Newcastle or Durham? Or he could go to the nice social worker who is in Bristol? I don't know where Maria could go, last time she was in Cyprus she went to prison when she returned.

Very little content over the 2 episodes from last night.

Gail asking very legit questions about selling the house only to get shouted over by David, not being able to actually answer the questions.

I get confused with all the invisible children....... Jake, Jack, Little Liam, Harry..... and now we have Sam and Dylan to cope with. And Gary had one with Nicola who moved away to Bristol(?), probably to escape from Gary, and who can blame her?

Yes it seems only new children are visible atm. Gail seems to have found her brain at last, questioning why someone would buy a house with a sinkhole, in order to fix said sinkhole at huge expense, only to allow former owners to live there indefinitely. Gail was also quite wise with Nick, i felt quite sorry for him actually, he looked bereft.

David is horrible to Gail. It almost felt abusive when he was shouting at her last night.

I did wonder if whoever wrote last night’s episode had been watching the classic episodes and remembered the old Gail.

egg Maria can go to Ireland to Michelle and family - I think that’s where she goes when she has to go somewhere.

Some times i don't even watch it now I will just read the intro and think its going to be boring or I watch it and fast forward loads. I used to love it.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I just don’t get the sinkhole thing at all.

What is the point of it?

Is it to do with Callum’s remains?

Is that even the correct name of the murdered bloke who is buried under the concrete floor in the extension?

No idea. It's not as if viewers have experience of a sinkhole! I think they found some footage of a hole and thought it would be something to stick in to Corrie for no reason whatsoever. And it shows. Not thought through at all.

And as Gail says... why on earth would someone want to buy a house with a sinkhole.
It's just a plotline for Ray as he is being paid and needs something.

What about subsidence? The gardens are small, the house could fall down!
But of course, reality is suspended in Corrie!

I couldn't sleep so came downstairs to catch up, I still have no idea what happened.

I do recall being captivated by Gail's hair, how is it so thick and swishy?! Do you just have to have it cut that odd style or is she lucky?

Wouldn't someone have dogged into Ray's past by now or David asked for another opinion. He's not usually that gullible

Gail has always had incredibly thick bouncy hair, it's amazing.

I think David is leading him up the garden path, he recognises a plot is afoot.

Corrie reminds me of a bad version of the Fast Show now. It’s become a series of random disconnected sketches with an increasing number of new/unbelievable characters. They should go the whole hog and have the scenes swooshing in from different directions before swooshing out never to be heard of again.
