Given the October weather, why on Earth are the Men’s Semis not starting until 3pm?

Whoever plays second could still be on court at 9pm. Bloody cold and windy!

It is a bit ridiculous Starks - they’re always really over ambitious in their timings as well. The second semi is due to be played 2 hours after the first one starts on the same court

Oh well at least it will be Djok having to play in the cold this time - hope his neck/shoulder/whatever holds up!

I’m excited and nervous about the matches (especially Rafa’s). I’m hoping for a Rafa/Stef final. Hopefully I should be able to watch both semis uninterrupted - I’ve booked my spot on the settee

The timing does seem daft. Both of those matches could go the distance, and then where will we be?!

Stupid auto correct on my phone changed Vamos Rafa to Vamps Rafa when talking to my Nadal fan friend earlier.

I finally have a whole afternoon in to watch tennis......vamos Rafa!

Is the timing to do with advertisers or the fact that the US are behind us time wise so if the matches are later in Europe they get to watch them - no idea if that's really the reason....

I’ve also got a free afternoon to watch tennis Mama - so excited! I don’t need to pick anyone up/drop anyone off or do anything really - I’ve even planned an easy and quick tea (it’s Mrs Patmore’s day off )

Hope it’s all worth it and there’s some good tennis

Not sure how much I will see of this. Dd2 has gone off for surgery and I only have my phone ( which keeps freezing) because I haven't been moved to a ward yet.

Weather looks a lot better than the forecast.
