I can’t see any other reason why they introduced the storyline of Denny’s belongings coming back now. They would have been returned ages ago. Sharon and Ian start being best friends again and whoosh Denny’s phone is amongst the stuff.

When you consider how many Eastenders come back from the dead or come bck with a NuHead (several times over in fact) Denny's phone has a better than avarage chance of making it out of the Thames in showroom condition
