Wow. Fridays night and the death And murder of Chantelle 😢😢

That was moving and horrendous to watch while gray plans his alibi of her death With

In some ways she will silly to taunt him. And she should have left a message on Khareet phone instead of ringing it lots when went to ansa machine

She should have said she was leaving gray. She loved Khareet and last message was a ploy As gray found out

Then gray will be done for murder

All the other plot lines form previous thread have been sorted

Nice to have ee back after the break

What was with the weird 'from under the table in the vic' camera angle when billy and Mitch were talking? Bizarre!

Mrsjayy · 30/09/2020 11:05

It was maybe because the actors were not there for the close up chat so did actually have a rete camera under the table or something. But those weird big head shots is when they are just on their own and they edit the conversation in.

Hopefully the women's aid advisor wonders why she never turned up at the flat? I'm sure they'd check up in RL well I hope so.

Mrsjayy · 30/09/2020 11:14

I was wondering r what womens aid/refuge do when this happens because women speak to them in confidence so would they approach the police after a death or with concerns they might not contact clients because it could put them in danger.

Alongcameacat · 30/09/2020 11:29

I'm sure they'd check up in RL well I hope so

From what I have read on MN, many women don’t leave on the day they say they are leaving. They may not get the opportunity or be too frightened.
I presumed she was going to a shelter? I don’t think they could go looking for women who didn’t turn up, that could make their situation much worse?

But yes you would imagine that they know the women are in a high risk situation and have nobody else to turn to or look out for them. I still doubt they would go searching for no shows though I don’t know.

Emeraldshamrock · 30/09/2020 12:33

I think you're right it would be dangerous.
It is awful there needs to be more awareness and help towards the danger some women face leaving.

Alongcameacat · 30/09/2020 12:39

It’s said when women decide to leave/say they are leaving, they are in the greatest danger.

There should be someone with them really when this happens. That would give women the physical safety they might need.

Smallsteps88 · 30/09/2020 12:44

It’s such a complex situation. It’s hard to get the level of support right without alerting the abuser to the fact their victim is accessing it. You could plan the perfect escape and have everything in place but things go wrong. Like the abuser coming home from work half an hour earlier or your DC suddenly taking ill and you can’t leave right now or just the overwhelming fear of taking the leap is just too much and you can’t do it.

SoupDragon · 30/09/2020 12:50

I think that is something EE have portrayed quite well. Chantelle was leaving on a few occasions but circumstances managed to stop her.

Smallsteps88 · 30/09/2020 12:57

They have indeed.

Alongcameacat · 30/09/2020 13:00

It would be good if two people from the shelter or one with a policeman could be there on the arranged day to ensure the vulnerable boy out safely. I don’t suppose they are allowed answer the door though and I imagine if the abuser realises they are leaving, then he has nothing left to lose and could take their lives.
I know some women abuse too but just used him as it’s about Grey here.

Emeraldshamrock · 30/09/2020 13:32

I hope it inspires some women watching to find the strenght & get out as early as possible.

SpanishFly · 30/09/2020 18:57

@Alongcameacat she was a singer around maybe 1990 or thereabouts. It's pronounced Meesha Paris.
Her biggest hit was # You...you are my one temptation... #

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/09/2020 21:46

Few well known songs

I watched the Max/Jack Secrets episode with Stacey D this evening. Jeez Scott Maslen is just too much. He'd be exhausting to be around.

lazymum99 · 01/10/2020 09:05

Mica Paris about to come on BBC breakfast!

I missed a bit, is Ian taking a mortgage out on the cafe?

More importantly why I’d Danny Dyer growing a mullet?

nancy75 · 01/10/2020 19:58

That hospital needs to sort out their security

Spidey66 · 01/10/2020 20:10

The whole Raymond storyline is a rehash of when Bex was little. Her adopted parents were killed in a road accident and she was returned to Sonia and Martin.

Word of warning: don't adopt a child. You'll be dead before they start infants.

Mrsjayy · 01/10/2020 20:14

That hospital needs to sort out their security
THEY REALLY DO just waltz right in stranger Confused

nancy75 · 01/10/2020 20:27

Ray appears to be in a hospital that literally has no staff whatsoever, where is everyone?
