I think really, it would have been better from a tournament point of view, if RG had taken a leaf out of Wimbledon's book and skipped it this year.

Well, I've just watched Stef get through to the Hamburg final- Garin put up a good fight.

I had a flu jab at 8.45am this morning (stupid time). Was all very well organised. But my arm is starting to ache. Not as much as when I had the pneumonia one in March. That ached for days.

I wonder how painful a Covid vaccine would be. When I had the swine flu injection it looked like I had an egg under my skin for about a week!

Yes RG in October, seems v weird doesn't it? It feels really unpredictable. I think all the match play Thiem, Djok etc have had could make a difference but then again, Rafa's turned up to tournaments without many matches before and won them... So... I have no idea how it'll all pan out.

I am looking forward to it though.

It's very windy, and to be honest, it doesn't look great. Vika is playing in a coat. She is not happy. She is complaining about the balls. I really think the tournament was ill advised.

I have decided if Rafa is going to lose, I want him to lose before the final, not to smug Djok. He's never lost in a final at RG. I don't think it's fair he loses like that this year, when circumstance are making things far from ideal. All things being equal, he would have gone into the clay season proper as the favourite, as he was playing well at the beginning of the year.

The Hamburg final is just starting - Tsitsipas/Rublev. Rublev has had some good results over the past weeks.
Be a tight turnaround for those two to get to Paris.
