At least the late start has meant no clash with the Tour de France tonight - to say that there are lots of Covid cases in France there doesn’t seem to be much social distancing or mask wearing in the crowds watching the cycling.

RG are still having crowds but I think have reduced the numbers from the original plans.

I am not confident about this match.
Or whether I will stay awake .

Ugh. I was expecting a tough match, and did think the late start/conditions would be against him a bit- but I hoped Rafa would turn it round. His serve seemed to have gone awol at times.

oh well- so long as Djok doesn't win. Maybe Diego can beat him too. Or even Casper!

I lost track of what was happening in Rome. It's been a hectic week with so much going on. The good news is I've had my eye op done just in time for RG so I'll be able to see it properly.

I don't know what happened to Rafa, I think it was a combination of things. Reminded a bit of the Melbourne final against Djok last year, after a brilliant tournament, he played in the final like a completely different man.

Onwards and upwards- RG is a different beast, I just hope the season change/weather doesn't end up being a factor (and I'm not at all keen on the roof- I just hope he doesn't have to play too often under it).

Casper beating Djok would almost make up for Rafa losing, though.

They are having crowd problems in the Halep match- hardly anyone there, and they are still managing to cause a distraction. .

I like Garbine and Simona so I don't mind who wins.

ITV website says they're showing RG on ITV4 but Radio Times isn't listing it.

It's usually on ITV4, Jane, I hope it still is.

I saw a trailer for RG on ITV the other day, so it looks like it's on. I hope so!

I didn't know fans were allowed in Rome (unless they've been there all week and I just haven't noticed - quite likely). It's nice hearing genuine applause/reaction isn't it? And I see there are photographers there too.

I think they are allowing fans for the semis/final. I'm sure I heard something about a 1000 fans for the final but I might have dreamt that!

I think I heard them mentioning fans being allowed in for semis and finals at Rome but not sure about numbers.

I’ve seen a few trailers for the French Open on ITV4 so hopefully it should be on. Does it start next weekend?

Looks as if Djok is back to his old tricks, smashing his racquet and getting a warning in his last match - apparently losing his temper is ‘just him’ . Glad he meant what he said in his insta post after hitting the lines person in New York!
