Agree it was soooooo hard to stop watching after one episode! Good quotient of ‘Fanny’ jokes too. Love Thomas’s velvety ‘advert voice’ after his initial stage fright in front of the microphone Grin
Lovely touch that the ghost hunters didn’t believe either Alison or Mike were the owners of Button Hall.

Waspnest · 23/09/2020 12:52

So glad this is back, perfect comfort food for autumn.

Did no one else go 'nooooo.....' when Alison and Mike had to hand the money back?

Doginabandana · 23/09/2020 21:00

Have failed in trying not to watch any more but now up to episode 5. Please could someone who has watched episode 4 send me a private message explaining the bit right at the end when Thomas kept pulling out the letters? Thanks.

MissFitton · 23/09/2020 21:48

I caved. I've watched all of S2. It's so lovely! Didn't think it could be better than the first series but it is.

Me too! It was as good as I'd hoped, and better!
PawFives · 24/09/2020 20:35

Loving this series - great family viewing. We’re trying to ration to one episode per night so have seen 4 now, all good but ep4 is the best so far. We’ve watched series 1 loads and love Yonderland too - and I’ve always said HH went downhill when this lot left!

PrivateSpidey · 24/09/2020 23:16

I've watched episodes 1-5 of series 2 so far. My DS made me Grin - I was easily persuaded to be fair.

It's such a great programme, I love it so much! Every character is just perfect and it has so many funny daft lines in it. Plus it's so sweet and moving at times.

Lol at "Louise's pleasing cheese" Grin

MissFitton · 25/09/2020 07:05

@PawFives my dcs and I refuse to watch HH now they're not on it as a matter of principle! 😁

I need to see if I can watch Yonderland. I couldn't access it when it came out. Anyone know where I can find it now?

leastfavouritecrisps · 25/09/2020 07:26

I loved the first series. We have watched the first episode of series two. Like some PP, we are trying to just watch one a week to make it last. Am I the only one who feels a bit annoyed at the ghosts for not helping Alison out a bit more. She goes around telling people off for Fanny, turning the pages of books, writing in crossword answers etc. Meanwhile, even though they are given ample opportunity the ghosts refuse to do a bit of haunting for her to bring in money. If the ghosts prefer living with Alison and Mike, rather than the house being turned into a hotel then why do they not help out a bit?

Tomatoesneedtoripen · 25/09/2020 09:43

I guess there would be no story if they had helped

SinisterBumFacedCat · 25/09/2020 14:39

Is this a Spoiler free thread? I’ve had to avoid the Facebook page as it’s full of them. I know it’s not the same as soap spoilers, but I want to stretch the enjoyment out a bit!

Yonderland is on Sky catch up, I think it’s no Now TV as well. We are watching them every night and it’s just as silly/funny.

MeOldBamboo · 25/09/2020 15:12

We love it too. Great one to watch as we’ve seen all the HH episodes many times. I love Pat’s death episode, I have rewatched it several times because it makes me roll about laughing. And then the end is gorgeously poignant. Good for me to get a fix of Ben W. Phwoar!

DigOutThoseLemonHandWipes · 25/09/2020 15:47

@SinisterBumFacedCat yes this thread is spoiler free (as we would ask people to keep it that way). Some have binged and others are waiting for them to be shown so the fingers have been asked not to ruin anything for the weekly watchers.

LunaNorth · 25/09/2020 15:50

Oh god I just binged.

Don’t care, it was worth it Grin

needsahouseboy · 25/09/2020 15:53

We are stuck in due to COVID tests. Me and DS watched the whole series over 2 evenings. Loved it.

I love that they coveted different perspectives and really love caveman.

LunaNorth · 25/09/2020 16:13

Robin has really come into his own this series. I like Lady Button’s character development this series, too.

(Am I only one who has only just got the ‘Lady Button’ joke? Given that she’s called Fanny?)

HMSSophie · 25/09/2020 16:22

Robin. Loves him. Monopoly.

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 25/09/2020 17:17

I want to watch them all because it's such a good show, but I don't want to because then they'll all be gone!

JonasKahnwald · 25/09/2020 17:23

Oh. No not just you. I've only just got that too 😲
JonasKahnwald · 25/09/2020 17:24

Has anyone set up a spoilers thread?

theluckiest · 25/09/2020 22:14

@BruceAndNosh

The actress who plays Lady Fanny must have a stiff face by the end of each day, contorting herself to create her "chinless" appearance. I was amazed at how much younger and prettier she is in real life-and she has a proper chin!
She is v beautiful. Sad but true - I follow Martha on Instagram ( Blush) namely as we have a few mutual IRL friends.

Anyway, she has just got engaged on a stunning Greek island. Not jealous or anything. 😁

I just think they're all fabulous. All of their work has heart. It's funny, silly, touching and you can genuinely tell that they enjoy working with one another.

Also a programme that I can watch with teenage DCs and we all enjoy it. dare I tell them that it's all on IPlayer?!!

I took it as he wanted to get rid of the letter having found out the truth, but because he died with it on him he couldn’t

DrMadelineMaxwell · 25/09/2020 22:40

Caved and binged. Zero regrets.

Really enjoyed the backstories inc the fabulously creepy plague pit group.

0blio · 25/09/2020 22:43

Isn't he wonderful. Loved his narration of Thomas's story Grin

0blio · 25/09/2020 22:44

That was to HMSSophie
