The way they were around Aster was all about them, Ellie and Aster's wellbeing was secondary to what they wanted. People that don't understand boundaries are not going to be able to teach their child about respecting others.

The fact that they plan on using a surrogate at all is a red flag as surrogacy is exploitative and not in the best interests of the child. Flying all the way to Canada to get the child they want is not normal behaviour

One could argue that having to fly to Canada from Australia shows how difficult it is for gay men wanting to start a family in Australia.

They were a bit weird with Aster, but when fostering they were very caring.

The surrogate storyline is already annoying and is going to drag on so long isn't it.

It would be more interesting and new if Nicolette decided to try IVF with a donor as a single mum.

I used to quite like Dipi, but she is so irritating and unpleasant now, caring for nobody but herself. Not sure why Yashvi is so supportive of her.

I think Yashvi has resentment for Shane because of the drugs, the position he put her in and maybe even before that when he was so hard on Ned. But I also wouldn’t be that surprised if neighbours writers haven’t thought that deeply about it and just want one kid on one side each.
