@finished31 I haven't noticed it on MAFS, but the upside down washing machine thing features in Neighbours too. It's like a washing machine as normal, then hanging on the wall above is an upside down tumble dryer.

@YourVagesty I had exactly the same problem and also had to watch the last 10 minutes using the link. I don't really want to have to use the link as I can't seem to cast it to my tv from my phone/iPad.

Washing machine and tumble driers were often stacked in the places were staying in whilst in Australia. It is MUCH easier to read and reach the controls when the top one is upside down!

I think (older) Sean got screwed over though to be fair. The fact that Jo has said she hasn't laughed so much in 20 years proves some really heavy editing has gone on. I think he was deliberately matched with an opposite which is a brutal thing to do and never works. I think he has been honest from the outset at least and as soon as it was clear he wasn't going to get romantically involved with her, they started showing none of Jo's zany side and making it look like Sean is being mean to her all the time. He can't have been or she wouldn't have chosen to stay unless she is spectacularly thick which is possible I suppose.

As much as I dislike DaviNA (and I really dislike her), I do empathise on the snoring thing. My DH regularly sleeps in another bed because he snores and keeps me awake. It's really miserable being a light sleeper being kept awake by a snorer. It's bad enough if you love that person, let alone if you barely tolerate them. Sharing a bed isn't always the be all and end all (no matter what the experts say!).

I don't know why the people who don't want to be together don't just agree to say a weeks sight seeing in Sydney to pass the time? I assume they aren't allowed to just do that sort of thing?
Making people who don't want to be together, stay together, just seems cruel. Though at least they can have separate flats (and maybe the sleep on couch people also can)

It’s all about money. My guess is, they agree to the “rules” and if they break them they don’t get any money. Therefore if only one wants to leave they both have to stay to get paid.

It’s harsh but they must have signed up for it.

Sean is devoid of any personality. I don’t think I’ve seen him smile once in this series.

Davina is a properly nasty piece of work. I feel quite sorry for Ryan, I don’t think he’s the sharpest knife in the drawer but he seems to have a kind heart and is desperately trying to understand Davina. He’s on a road to nowhere though with that one as she’s totally checked out and is all about trying to hook up with Neanderthal Dean. “I feel like I’m having an affair”, giggle. Yes love that’s because you are.

Ashley has really grown on me, she’s not as ditsy as I first thought and is tolerating Divvy Troy with kindness and gentle humour.

Weird! With mine, it seemed to be stuck on this montage bit of the bridge and some traffic. It kept going back to that and then cutting out to adverts, going back to the fecking bridge/traffic, flicking back to ads again. Just could not get it to play the last ten minutes.

My 12 yo DS watches it with me he is fascinated by the whole concept He is autistic so quite black and white so he makes me laugh with his comments. He doesn't agree with those who have sex on the wedding night though as they are strangers he thinks Dean looks like Nick from S4 and got confused at first.

I actually like Troy, I think there has been some clever editing to make him look worse but he is quite sweet and harmless I think. Ryan and Matt are hot, not sure re Matt though as I dont quite understand why he's so weird about needing space.

Thumbface is vile, I cannot see anything attractive about him and I have no idea why he'd be on MAFS when he doesnt want a monogamous relationship. Tracey is a mug TBH. How can anyone fall for his BS?!

I am routing for Telv/Sarah and Nasser/Gabrielle possibly Pat/Charlene too but I feel like we haven't seen another of them. NPJ/Not Debs look like they're rubbing along OK but not sure about them just yet.

I dont understand the experts matching Jo and Sean, presumably they ask them about the sort of people they are physically attracted to so they must have known he wouldn't have liked Jo. Personality wise they just don't seem well matched at all.

Didn't Cheryl from S4 change her mind and leave despite saying stay - cant remember if that was with Jonathan or Abandrew but Im pretty sure it happened so you can leave but youd be down money probably

@AltheaThoon I wondered if it wasn't a trans issue - because that would be pretty major and Im not sure even John Aiken would be daft enough to set that up without prior discussions with the partner - maybe had he self harmed or attempted suicide. He seemed to talk a lot about self destructive behaviour and trying to numb the pain.

In my defence I am away for a few nights next week, so I will struggle to watch the programmes on the correct day. And of course I won’t say anything. But I felt the need to confess. 😂

Maybe they let them leave because Debs was a nightmare - spent days and days complaining "He's not Polynesian", "there's gluten in John's sandwich and my stomach can sense it from across the table", "He's not Polynesian", "I can tell he had a cigarette 38 hours ago", "He's not Polynesian", "I don't like being here with him", "Did I mention he's not Polynesian?".

She made that man's life as miserable as all get-out, and then when it came to the decision, when John said "leave" (because he thought she was fed up of him) she would turn round and say stay. In addition, she would then witter self-pityingly "John's said leave. I don't understand why John wants to leave? It's upset me that John wants to leave. Why does John want to leave? . . . ." ad infinitum

It’s the TV equivalent of crack is what it is. Throughout the weekend I watched the entire series. Part of me feels a bit dirty and part of me is deeply envious of all of you who still have it to come.
