Hello All.

I hope it's bonza that I took the liberty of starting a second thread - just didn't want us gong walkabout in the bush (pardon my Fronch Grin) if we ran out of the other (whoops did it again!)

They’d better be making it work by Monday night!

Emmy2020 · 31/07/2020 20:34

@RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder They’d better do

@TheLittleRedToothbrush

At least none of them went off with one of the "experts" as in US series Wink
WHAT?!
Sertchgi123 · 31/07/2020 20:40

It's all turned out wrong, Nadia should have said no and Susan should have said yes. Confused Sad

How could they get it so wrong? Sean is a really lovely guy, a proper keeper. Spoony is a controlling git, sob.

Egghead68 · 31/07/2020 20:41

I heard about that. The expert obviously had to leave MAFS after that.

Is that the US series that’s on 4 at the moment?

Nadiaaaaa!

Who thinks Anthony’s unblinking snake eyes will go dead & cold now that he’s got her wrapped in his coils?

In other news - did you notice the “apply now for MAFS UK” strapline at the end? Looks as though we can look forward to more matchmaking (by Zoom perhaps?).

Holy shite.....DD just cried at Susan walking away was a little tearful myself

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/07/2020 21:09

Who thinks Anthony’s unblinking snake eyes will go dead & cold now that he’s got her wrapped in his coils?

No doubt about it!

He will suck her dry and spit out the husk!

All he wanted was to be the one to finish the relationship - of that I am sure. He would want to keep her on a leash if he could control and manipulate her, but she has shown dangerous signs of a degree of independence - and she has supportive, sensible friends who will always have her back1 He can't have that.

But it's very important to him that SHE doesn't finish with HIM.

HE will want to be the one to destroy finish with HER. He'll wait until she is totally committed and then he'll drop her like a hot brick - probably just ghost her. She'll come back from work one day to find all of her stuff in bin bag outside the door and the locks changed, and he has disappeared to cover a racemes in Wallawallamorooroo or something.

You mark my words . . . Angry

I think Susan did the right thing - it broke my heart, but I think that within 6 months the strain of the lifestyle and his mother would have worn her out.

This way, with luck, they can remain friends.

I didn't find the UK one that exciting ...

Same here - it was too reasonable and seemed to be well thought out with genuine concern for the people involved.

We don't want any of that on this thread, thank you! (Though the first couple, Lauren and whatever-his-name-was split up after a fortnight when one of her friends caught him posting his details on Tinder . . . )

Yes, agree Sertchgi123 "It's all turned out wrong, Nadia should have said no and Susan should have said yes."

However, if Susan didn't love him enough to at least try then it is for the best.

Apple1971 · 31/07/2020 21:33

Susan nooooo

I have even more respect for her now after that speech though. What a great advert for strong women, I love how she said he was everything but she couldn’t give up everything she loves for him,

Egghead68 · 31/07/2020 21:35

Thanks @TheLittleRedToothbrush

RedCatBlueCat · 31/07/2020 21:52

Was tonight's shorter than normal? Or just more adverts which I skipped through?
I'm finished earlier than normal, and it didnt fell like there was as much fillers.
Definitely filmed/edited with deception in mind. I wonder if there is decent stuff for Nadia and Wankony that got edited out to make a better story?
My auto record says its continuing next week.

Honeyroar · 31/07/2020 22:25

It did feel short tonight. I quite like that!

Unfortunately finished’s post popped up
In my “I’m on” headlines so I read what happened with Susan before I’d seen it (watching late!). I was still willing her to say yes all the way through though. Surely two people that love each other (or so they say) who split up just due to location would’ve been crying when they walked away from each other!

As for horseman Sean, I’m a qualified riding instructor and I say he looks completely unbalanced and inexperienced in all the clips they show of him riding!

And Nadia, I get more convinced every time I watch her that she’s an airhead. I’m starting to lose all sympathy for her. She deserves him!

lilgreen · 31/07/2020 22:31

Just finished watching. What a surprise! Really felt for Sean especially after the last dinner party when she said she’d try the farm. She seemed so cool about it, not even a tear!

finished31 · 31/07/2020 22:48

⬆️⬆️⬆️.

I'm not sure she has time for a relationship.....she's in love with herself

Cruddles · 31/07/2020 23:01

In other news - did you notice the “apply now for MAFS UK” strapline at the end? Looks as though we can look forward to more matchmaking (by Zoom perhaps?).

Hopefully the "experts" from the Australian show are involved. Matching a 48 yo male midget My Little Pony collecting skinhead in Aberdeen with a 24 yo 6 foot female architect on Guernsey who only likes Italian men.

"I think his love for Nazi WW2 memorabilia will suit her passion for dolphins*

1984andout · 31/07/2020 23:09

Yes @Honeyroar I'm a riding instructor too and I really laughed when he rode in to the ceremony to meet Susan. Awful.

Still don't know how he makes his money.

It Looks like there's more to come on Monday though.

SpanishFly · 01/08/2020 00:19

I'm so confused - I was more upset than either Sean or Susan 🥴
Why no sobbing from them? They've spent 8 weeks glued to each other, grinning and gushing and winching constantly. Why are they not distraught that it's over?

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 01/08/2020 06:47

I think Susan has said no to take the pressure off them both. In the real world the ceremony doesn’t mean anything and I don’t believe for a second that they wouldn’t have discussed it together first. She wouldn’t spring that on him, that would be cruel (I’m looking at you Michelle). I think they’ll give it a go anyway but both be expecting it not to work out. Since she does fly in fly out work, it couldn’t hurt for her to move in with him for a couple of weeks to see if she could bear it without the cameras.

I’m too optimistic.
