Glad it was Rafa v Delpo. A bit of an underrated match (except on this thread of course).

Just watched the highlights programme back. Can't believe it's taken this long for (our) Boris to appear. Looking forward to his wheelie bin challenge on Friday

Can't believe we're saddled with Jo and Heather again tomorrow. Hope Heather isn't in another of her tight leggings and bright jacket combos

I was in Sicily when he played Delpo and was following the scores of that match throughout dinner, along with your comments on here. Loving that I was having a fabulous dinner in Sicily but wishing I could be watching the tennis at the same time

Also felt sad about Borg. He'd already won 11 GSs by the time he retired at only 25! It's hard to imagine the kind of pressure he must have been under and no social media in those days either, which would have made it even worse. I wonder how many more titles he'd have won if he'd have continued playing to the grand old age of 30, say?

And I'm still waiting for a glimpse of the delectable Stefan! We've seen some players several times now and the only mention of Stefan was in tonight's quiz! He did contest 3 finals in a row, winning two of them.

Rafa's live insta chat was the highlight of lockdown, no question so funny. I'm going to have have to watch it again!

PS I agree re Stefan as well despite my love of BB, I think Stefan deserves to be featuring more.

If the BBC programme is going to follow the Wimbledon channel (which it seems to have done up til now) then there will be no Stefan today. . They are featuring women's semi finals - including 2 Serena matches

I was wondering, since they have already (imo) shown the 4 best men's finals (2008, 2001,1980, 2009), what the BBC they are likely to show at the weekend- and realised it will probably be an Andy match. Which is a shame, as I don't really think either of his finals could be considered classics. Fans will probably dispute that , but really Djok did not play as well in the 2013 final as he did in the semi- his match against Delpo was one of the matches of the year.

Of course- it is the BBC- and they might go for a Roger final instead, since he's won it so often. Buo

Wish it would stop raining - the weather is awful here

We don’t hear much of Stefan do we? I wonder if it’s because he was and still is a quiet person who keeps himself to himself? His tennis should still be admired though.

I never really went for the Swedish look - I preferred my tennis players to be dark and brooding

To be fair, it is the Sampras/Rafter final, but I'm still not sure I want to want to watch it again. I remember it being quite rain delayed? And this Serena/Radwanska match was pretty one sided, bar the second set when Aggie woke up a bit.

Stefan briefly stepped into the spotlight when he coached Roger, but has gone back to being Mr Private. He is spotted at Wimbledon over finals weekend, but not much else. I think he likes it that way.

Poor Aga just wasn't herself.

Don't want to watch Sampras but I'll probably leave it on in the background because the sound of a tennis match is so soothing!

Well I could watch Rafter all day . Just love that style of play. He wasn't far off in this final either, a set and a break up, then two points away from the second set tiebreak as well.

I caught up with last night's Sue show. The clip of Rafa's IG chat was so funny I love it.

I enjoyed the Tim-Federer clips as well. Hen-mania was mad wasn't it!!

And that Rafa - Delpo Qf amazing stuff. I've watched it back a few times and it's still brilliant.

I got back in time to watch the last half an hour of this. I do love watching Rafter- this match went on so late!

I am fed up with this gloomy weather.

I know, it's so grey isn't it? The forecast looks ok for tomorrow but not sure I will believe it until I see it!
