I have had quite a bit of the Aldi Fake Pimms this week, won't be as nice when it's raining.

I was actually more like 15- not sure where I got 10 from

I'm not ashamed to admit that I shed a tear at the Jana segment. I always do. Lovely to see the Duchess of Kent.

I've always hated Connors.
Always had a bit of a soft spot for Pernfors. He was never your atypical Swede (as much as I love them, well, one in particular )

Pernfors used to play at the vets at the Royal Albert Hall, when I used to go, although he'd put on a bit more weight by then

I think it was his dark hair , kazza. I remember he was nicknamed ' Penfold' in our house.

Yes, the Jana segment reminded me how lovely she was. She never stopped trying.

Just caught the end - Pernfors didn’t really look Swedish - I remember that match as well!

Yes, it was his dark hair that made him look not like a Swede Even Wilander wasn't as dark as Pernfors.

Jo was always big boned, shall we say, but now....it looked like she was wearing a tent! Sorry to be rude but I don't understand how top athletes, male and female, can retire and then disproportionately expand!
I can do that, but then I was never a professional sportswoman

Just watching Wimbledon tonight from the beginning now - yes why does Roger look the same as he does now but with different hair! Pete Sampras chest hair - yuk!

I’m always surprised at how Lendl has filled out kazza - he was so gaunt and skinny as a player - maybe it happens when you don’t have to be so strict with your diet and don’t have to train so hard? (Not sure what my excuse is )

I LOVE the Mrs Cawley/Mrs LLoyd. Its respectful, not patronising IMO.

And the women didn't complain then. AND they were so quiet playing!

And -on my soap box here- if the ''LAdies'' are so strong about equality they should bloody well play 5 setters same as the men in GS.

On the LTA/WTA tour, by all means equal prize money, but in GS , no.

I remember the Pernfors/Cpnnors match. Pernfors didn't wane, Jimmy just got better!

Pernfors reminds me (here I go again, shoulda gone to Specsavers!) of Kyrios' Swedish cousin

Afternoon. Having a dull day here, been on a wet walk with the dog.

They are showing the Fed/Roddick final later on the BBC. I hope Andy can win it today (I'm not sure I put myself through watch it again! I doubt they will show all of it- it was te longest final until last year's).

Not managed to watch any of the tennis today - I’ve lost control of the TV - not really that bothered about Federer v Roddick. I prefer Sue’s programme in the evening - a bit of chat and the wheelie bin challenge

I’ve just got back from the hairdressers - I expected to be transformed but I just look like me with slightly shorter hair

I will probably not watch all of Fed/ Andy tbh- I enjoyed it at the time (but really wanted Andy to win- it was his 3rd final against Roger, iirc).

I do like the evening programme though.

Jane well, I often think some players throw sets. Risky strategy- but when you have 5 sets to play with...

Fizzy that's one reason I don't get mine cut- it's not so much the cut, as the drying. The person next to me, with the straight blond bob will look amazing- me, with my frizzy curly hair, will be advised we will 'leave it slightly damp, shall we??' and I leave the salon looking like a drowned rat.

I an not assertive in hairdressers.

You don't mean Novak by any chance Raahh? The commentator made it sound like it happened every match. I don't recognise the American commentator. Anyway another reason why the women need equal pay. They can't afford to throw away sets!

Not just him though. I have long suspected Monfils of doing it, and Serena does it too- gives her opponent the impression se is down and out and then races through the next set.
