Our Girl Thread 56 "Stay Obsessed"

We have been discussing the series Our Girl since the first one aired in 2014 and are now on number 56! Occasionally between discussions of Our Girl, we watch the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

I would prefer to stay at home eejit but have managed to get it down to only three days in the office and two at home. Face masks might be a game changer though. I can't see that going down very well with everyone.

Georgie's look on her face - obvious she thought it was Elvis who had been shot. No, it's Dyno.

They've carried Azzizi in but it's too late.

I love this heart to heart between the two boys.

Georgie has some really catastrophic injuries to deal with . It must be traumatic.

She sounds so panicked.

CJ and Elvis have a chat. Two gorgeous men together. Poor CJ. You can see where all his doubts and issues begin.

Elvis and Georgie also have a little heart to heart. I think I'd want to throw myself at him!

CJ has had some bad news by the looks of it and shouts for Kingy.

Even with grime on his face, he's still drop dead gorgeous.

Georgie is suffering too. She doesn't like losing her patients. Elvis always keen to offer his considerably lovely shoulder to cry on.

Looks as if the helicopter is grounded. How are they going to escape?

At last he grows up a little bit and admits he was wrong. Ah, who wouldn't be in love with him.

She can't say she doesn't love him.

A fab episode with some lovely moments and a merciful dearth of That Brat.

How will they get back?

Are we doing all of episode 4 next week ladies? I have only one managed it to the end without crying. It's the letter from beyond the grave that gets to me.

I don't mind if we go further. I can even cope with seeing him blown to bits and the way CJ comforts her afterwards. It's his voice and letter from the grave I struggle with. I will go with what you both want though.

Well, I'm ok to go up to the last five minutes or so then - just skip the bit in the tent with the letter.

Well that episode was so much better it just shows what a difference can be brought about. I remember now when checking directors on this series it turned out there had been seven different ones. Obviously there had been a major change here. So much content in this and handled so well.

Agree about how much to watch next week. If I remember correctly another well handled episode although of course how it ended was devastating as far as we addicts are concerned.😥

Rhu, I’m not convinced he admits he was wrong so much as changes tactics and SAYS he was wrong. It’s a killer line, when you think about it. He’ll get out of her life IF she says she doesn’t love him. A very different approach from Syria when she told him she didn’t love him and he replied ‘Well I don’t believe that and neither do you.’

Are we ready for the tear jerker episode ladies?
